Racist New York Times Editor Sarah Jeong Fired Not for Her Long History of Racism, But for Encouraging Times Subscribers to Cancel
The left went into its typical hysterics when the New York Times offered up some vague biographical details about the deep state operative codenamed "THE WHISTLEBLOWER."
There was a Twitter Drama with a lot of people claiming they had cancelled their subscriptions. One person claimed the hold time for the cancellation phone line was 130 minutes.
I have no idea if that's true. That's one of the things they were claiming On The Internet, though.
Enter Sarah Jeong. If you remember, Sarah Jeong is the person with the Problematic Hair who the New York Times did not fire nor discipline after her history of remorseless hatred against white people and men was revealed.
Ms Jeong wrote in one tweet from July 2014: "Oh man it's kind of sick how much joy I get out of being cruel to old white men."
One online critic posted a selection of Ms Jeong's other tweets, which contain obscenities.
"Are white people genetically predisposed to burn faster in the sun, thus logically being only fit to live underground like groveling goblins," she said in December 2014.
The South Korea-born journalist, who was raised in the US, also used the hashtag "#CancelWhitePeople" and complained about "white people marking up the internet with their opinions like dogs pissing on fire hydrants".
Sarah Jeong and the New York Times blamed her hatred of white people and men on, you guessed it, white people and men, who triggered her.
She decided to encourage her fellow Twitter Addicts to unsubscribe from the Times.
And now, finally, the New York Times has #HashtagCancelled her ass. Hating white people and men is fine, even necessary, but showing any disloyalty to the New York Times Cult is unacceptable.
Actually, the story is that she... decided to leave in August?
The New York Times revealed that controversial writer Sarah Jeong, who once made headlines for mocking white people, is no longer part of its editorial board.
Jeong was in the news on Friday when she defended a boycott against The Times after the paper revealed information about the whistleblower who filed a complaint over President Trump's phone conversation with the president of Ukraine. Critics were outraged that the Gray Lady would put a whistleblower in danger and Jeong felt readers canceling their subscriptions in protest backed up "dissenting views inside the paper about what it should do and be."
The media industry found it bizarre that an already divisive member of The Times' editorial board would defend a boycott of her own paper, but when liberal CNN asked for comment it was revealed that Jeong had already moved on last month.
"Sarah decided to leave the editorial board in August," deputy editorial page editor Kate Kingsbury told the Times-friendly CNN in a Friday night news dump.
Was she just tired of being censored on Twitter? (The Times had been keeping a close eye on her racist Twitter ramblings since the media put a pillow over the controversy.)
