National Public Radio discussed the question Wednesday morning of whether President Donald Trump’s supporters were too loyal or "dumb" to support impeachmment.

At one point, Johnson asked whether there was merit to Democrats' suspicion that Trump supporters would not care about the evidence:

I don't think that it is inaccurate to say that some Democrats would rather focus on 2020 because they believe that the president’s base is unshakeable, that they will support him no matter what, and that whatever comes out of this impeachment inquiry, that they are solidly set on re-electing Donald Trump. I also don’t think that hyperbole would be overstating it to say that some Democrats just think that the president's base is too dumb to know the difference, that they wouldn't get -- even if all of the evidence pointed toward impeachment, pointed toward this being someone who needed to be removed, that the president has fooled enough people, that they are so gullible, that they will not vote against him no matter what.

It's a banner day for NPR and its show "1A" -- earlier the host had speculated if Mitch McConnell would just have to die before we could appoint 16 year old emotional-wreck cultist Greta Thunberg Dictator of the World.

An NPR show discussed whether or not Democratic voters believe they have to wait until Sen. Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) dies to persuade Republican voters to take action on climate change.

1A host Joshua Johnson speculated that Democratic voters think they are "just going to have to wait for the Mitch McConnells of the Republican Party to die" before persuading GOP voters on climate change.

"I know this is kind of a nihilistic question, but I wish I had a nickel for every time I heard a Democratic voter say, ‘We're just going to have to wait for the older ones to die off,'" Johnson said. "We know that this current generation is much more pragmatic, much more solutions-oriented. The old folks aren't going to change, they're the ones in power."

Last week, word leaked from the Cory Booker camp that they had ten days to raise a pile of money and start getting some traction on the polls or they were out of the race. This is probably a Blotto O'Rourke style gambit -- let me start saying the f-bomb and bragging about confiscating guns, and maybe that will get me the Princess Bitch attention I want.

I don't think it will work for The Fiercely Heterosexual Cory Booker, just as it didn't work for Blotto.

Not that these people don't believe these things, mind you: It's just that only pure desperation, and a lack of any other possible option, can compel a Democrat to express his true beliefs.
