The Morning Report - 9/11/19

Good morning kids. Midweek, and that horrible morning, one that I consider the worst day and days of my life, is now 18 years behind us. Looking back on everything we've seen and experienced since makes you shake your head, and your fists. The optimism of the Reagan years and the dismantling of the Soviet Union did not beget a period of national renewal and a blossoming of Americanism and American ideals, but instead gave us a decade of cultural, moral and political depravity. While we were passed out cold in a drunken stupor, drooling and soiling the carpet, a Dark Age cancer that had run wild for close to a thousand years but had been in remission since 1683, and not coincidentally September 12th of that year to be precise, came back with a vengeance. It shoved the puerile notion of "the end of history" into a figurative and literal mass grave.

Then, as we attempted to pick ourselves up and recover, the other nasty consumption which has racked up a body count far exceeding its evil twin and in only a little over a century, erupted from within to try and finish us off for good. And as we can see just by looking at the links in almost any category, the election of Donald Trump and all that he has done and tried to do notwithstanding, the situation is still very much in doubt.

What we can do, and what we must do as we do whenever we commemorate the battles and wars we have fought to preserve and protect what we cherish, is pray for the memory of the fallen, not lose faith when even everything seems hopeless and never surrender the essence of who and what you are. May G-d bless America and consign Islamism and Leftism to the Infernal Reaches. On a personal note, I remember classmate Kathleen M. Moran. RIP.

  Two North Carolina special elections are won by Republicans, which means now in the eyes of the media they don't portend anything special at all. But of course, 24 hours ago, it spelled doom for Trump in 2020 had they lost. Hopefully this is a harbinger not so much about Trump but that we could retake the House despite all the incumbents "retiring." From what I understand, the Dems were pushing hard especially in NC-3 and Dan Bishop had almost zero recognition, but still he pulled it out. Congrats to the winners, who still have to run again in 2020 but now have the advantage of incumbency. Elsewhere, Toothy McBigTits is braying at Republicans to vote to impeach the President, Leftists throw a big event to promote impeachment which draws exactly ZERO attendees, despite the doddering paste-eating idiocy, always remember that Joe Bidet is not and never has been a moderate (whatever that means in this or any context), Blotto Beto wants Section 8 housing in Pacific Heights, the Hamptons and Georgetown, Fauxca-Has-Been seems to be tacking hard left to attract the InJustice Democrat endorsement, and three links where Trump makes my mouth water.
