Surprise! The Left is Now Pressuring Google To Stop Even Linking Climate Skeptic Blogs and News Sources

#BuhMuhPrivateMonopoly, right David French?

What they mean is this: If you search for a story about the climate, google will still return some (de-ranked) results that link to climate-skeptical sources.

The left isn't happy with the de-ranking that's already going on, with pretty much only leftwing sites on the first two pages of returns.

They want all climate-skeptic sites censored from search results.

Google will mostly accede, downranking such "conspiracy theory" sites. Which is what it wants to do in the first place; it just prefers having the cover of "outside independent critics" "forcing" it to do so.

This is how they always do it-- the left gins up a campaign, the corporation restricts the speech on the right in compliance.

And when we on the real right say, "We have to start pushing back against this and threatening corporations who trample on our rights," the Corporatist Pseudoright, most of whom are actually liberals who just believe religiously in the Doctrine of Corporate Infallibility, start screaming that we must never attempt to bully private businesses into... um, treating us like valued customers or even law-abiding citizens.

Strangely enough-- they don't say a peep during the left's campaigns to create cover for corporations to become more censorious.

No -- it's only when the right fights back that the David Frenches, the Jonah Goldbergs, the Ben Shapiros, the Baseball Cucks suddenly find their voices and start expressing outrage over pressuring corporations (or nonprofits).

The left can agitate for Google to de-rank climate skeptic sources all day, and they'll say nothing.

Google will actually agree to de-rank climate skeptic sources, and they'll say nothing.

Then, Breitbart will file a similar grievance with Google and demand they de-rank a leftwing site pushing "conspiracy science" or whatever, and suddenly David French, Jonah Goldberg, Ben Shapiro, and Dan McLaughlin will be animated to finally speak up and say THIS IS WRONG!!!

John Ekdahl had some choice words about the "This is not who we are" psuedoconservatives who virtual signal about rightwing scalp hunting, but are either silent or active supporters of leftwing scalp-hunting.

I literally cannot believe my eyes when this group claims an absolutist rejection of the tactics of scalp-hunting and pressuring corporations, when I see them cheerleading the left's scalp-hunts, enthusiastically supporting the purges of Roseanne Barr, Milo Yiannopolous, Alex Jones and random reddit nobodies who dare to make memes about CNN.

You can't claim an absolutist devotion to a principle that you selectively ignore whether or not you have a twitter beef with the person targeted.

As he notes, CNN has a deplatforming/doxxing team dedicated to almost nothing else but pressuring corporations into censoring the right -- and yet our crew of pretend Free Speech Absolutists say nothing about Oliver Darcy and KFile.

In fact, David French and Ben Shapiro actively join leftwing scalp-hunting parties when a right-leaning or Trump-supporting person they don't like is targeted.

So give us all a break with the fake absolutism -- you guys hunt for scalps just like any SJW. You hunt the scalps you're interested in taking, and then you bleat about Ideals and Principles when you want to protect someone, like one of your cuck biddies.

This guy makes a good point: The Moral Scolds of the psuedoright are constantly attacking actual conservatives for attempting a strategy that could, possibly, result in greater allowance for free expression -- but seem to regard it as beneath them to be required to offer any alternatives, apart from continuing to surrender territory.

They literally never respond to posts like that. They think their job is solely to serve as critics of the right, watchdogs over the right, and scolds against the right.

When someone asks, "What is your alternative plan?," they just slink off. Self-righteously, of course.

Apparently dirtying their hands with actual plans to achieve tangible goals is beneath them. They exist solely to virtue signal to the other virtue signalers and their friends on the left that whatever the right does is bad and must be stopped, and whatever the left does is... understandable, justifiable and probably good.

It really doesn't help that people like David French CONSTANTLY justify/defend/endorse leftwing deplatforming attempts and then attack the right for the exact same tactics he just blessed days ago when the left employed them.

That's what the right is proposing, while the pseudoright continues to, essentially, continue recommending the obnoxious rules be enforced selectively against the right (their political opponents) and not against the left (their political allies).
