Rashida Tlaib Now Calling for Boycotts of Individual Jews

Well, Bill Maher, I think, is half-Jewish, and of course an obnoxiously evangelical atheist. But I'll count it.

Maher had called her efforts to push the BDS (Boycott, Divest, and Sanction) movement against Israel a "bullshit purity test" and refuted the claim that just because Palestinians are "browner" and Israelis are "whiter," then of course the Palestinians must be the oppressed and the Israelis the oppressors.

Maher came out hard against the BDS movement Friday, calling it a "bulls— purity test by people who want to appear woke but actually slept through history class."

It is "very shallow thinking that the Jews in Israel, mostly white, and the Palestinians are browner, so they must be innocent and correct, and the Jews must be wrong. As if the occupation came right out of the blue, that this completely peaceful people found themselves occupied," he added.

Tlaib called for a boycott of Maher in return.

Tlaib and America's Sweetheart, alleged brotherwife, and alleged adulterer Ilhan Omar both retweeted a cartoon charged by some as being antisemitic this weekend as well.

They retweeted a cartoonist, Latuff, who has previously been awarded the Palm d'Or of antisemitism.

"In 2006, Latuff came in second in Iran's International Holocaust Cartoon Contest, which is a thing that exists, in case you thought the TL couldn't get any worse.”

Latuff defended his use of the Holocaust to assail Israel’s treatment of Palestinians, even while acknowledging that the two are not exactly the same.

"Of course Israel isn’t building gas chambers in the West Bank, but surely we can find some similarities between the treatment given to Palestinians by the [Israel Defense Forces] and the Jews under Nazi rule," Latuff said, according to Fox News.

"My cartoons have no focus on the Jews or on Judaism. My focus is Israel as a political entity," he said without explaining why it was necessary to use anti-Jewish tropes to attack the Jewish state.

"It happens to be Israeli Jews that are the oppressors of Palestinians," he said.

To be honest, I don't find the cartoon they retweeted to itself be antisemitic. It's a cartoon of Netanyahu and Trump slapping their hands over Tlaib's and Omar's mouths to silence them.

It strikes me as a bit of Jewish Social Justice Warriorism to claim that this is "antisemitic" as opposed to just some angry agitation you don't like.

But then, his past history does suggest he's one of those guys who has Post-Its stuck all over his bathroom mirror, reminding him, "Don't say 'Jews,' say 'Zionists.' Don't say 'Jews,' say 'Zionists.'"

Meanwhile, the oppressed Palestinians just passed a totally non-oppressor law against gays and trannies. (Caution: I got some kind of warning on that JPost link.)

he Palestinian Authority banned members of the Palestinian Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) community from carrying out any activities in the West Bank.

The ban came after the grassroots group Al-Qaws for Sexual & Gender Diversity in Palestinian Society (Arabic for “the bow”), which engages and supports Palestinians who identify as LGBTQ, was planning to hold a gathering for its members in Nablus at the end of the month. The group operates both in the West Bank and among Arab-Israelis.

Explaining the decision to ban the LGBTQ group from operating in PA-controlled areas, Luay Zreikat, spokesperson for the PA Police, said that such activities are "harmful to the higher values and ideals of Palestinian society."

NYT columnist Bari Weiss admitted that the media was deliberately ignoring Tlaib's and Omar's antisemitism so as not to complicate their Orange Man Racist narrative.

First, Weiss pointed out that the anti-Semites declared they were going to Palestine instead of Israel on their itineraries. She then dropped the bombshell that the trip "was being sponsored by a group that literally published neo-Nazi blood libels and said that it supported female suicide bombers. You know, hailing them as heroes. That's a scandal."

It was a scandal "that has not been covered by any mainstream paper or network..." she lamented. "If someone like [Iowa Republican Congressman] Steve King was going to Sweden or Norway and eating with neo-Nazi groups, that would be front-page news," she added.

She then posed a question to the panel: "is the fact that Trump has lodged racist, horrible attacks on these women, has that made them sort of untouchable for us to cover in an accurate way?" She never got a real answer from anyone on the panel. Instead, fill-in host John Avlon quickly moved away from those facts and back to bashing Trump. Moments later, the segment was over.
