In Wake of ICE Raid and Reduction of Illegal Workforce, Over 200 Americans Apply for Jobs at Koch Foods Chicken Plant

Jobs that Americans will do, if you stop letting illegals do them.

By the way, this is not the same Koch as the famous left-libertarian Koch brothers' company.

But do feel free to make that connection in your head.

A state official said Wednesday that more than 200 people applied for jobs at a chicken processing plant in Morton during a job fair held Monday.

Koch Foods, one of four companies with plants in six small Mississippi towns, was targeted in a massive federal immigration raid on Aug. 7. It contacted the state employment agency the same day to request its help in hiring workers.

Dianne Bell, communications director at MDES, said the [jobs] fair, originally scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., was extended to 5 p.m. because of the number of applicants. She also said the number would likely be updated beyond the 216.
