The Morning Report: 10% Of What Sefton Does Edition (7/30/2019)
The long Moron nightmare is almost over...Sefton will return tomorrow from his week-long birthday celebration.
But in the meantime, let's take a gander at some interesting links, either current and topical, or just topical. The first one is frustrating, because while the President has the absolute authority to pardon those convicted of federal crimes, it is often based on connections or politics or favors, and that is exactly the kind of stuff that we have too much of. And speaking of favors, look who's getting some of that sweet banker money! Biden and Buttigig (change your damned name). Not that there would be even a hint of a quid pro quo, because both men are honorable and completely above board in all of their dealings. And at least we know where Lizzie Warren is going when it comes to Israel; right into the Jeremy Corbyn-Ilhan Omar camp.
Speaking of Israel, is Ayelet Shaked going to unify the Israeli Right? The fact that she is a total smoke-show has nothing to do with the link. Really. And for a little cultural appreciation, a short video from Prager U on why modern art is just awful. Continuing the culture topic, what are we going to do about multiculturalism? Kill it with fire! But not if we don't fix the damned budget mess, and Trump is not covering himself in glory with this huge problem. Oh look! One of a sane budget's biggest enemies is fighting back against the idiots who are calling him a Russian stooge. But at least tomorrow may be very interesting on the declassifying-everything front (I sure hope so).
On to Theodore Dalrymple and the future of Britain and Brexit. Actually, I would read his descriptions of last week's bowel movements...the man can write! And President Trump smacks his best bud Kim Jong Un for playing fast and loose with his promises. It's as if the President doesn't like being bullshitted. On to "Moscow On The Bay," where there is a brawl over an old commie's crappy, ahistorical murals, and Joe Bob Briggs asking what happened to SF's balls?
We close with an interesting article about Humira, and how and why it is the world's best-selling drug, and then another interesting article about why the Patriarchy isn't such a bad thing, complete with biblical references and a decidedly un-PC take. Yes...you will be triggered!
