The Morning Report: 10% Of What Sefton Does Edition (7/24/2019)
What better way to start off the morning than with an article about possibly the stupidest concentration of humanity on the planet: the Berkeley City Council! They are banning natural gas installations in new residential construction. Wow...the perfect confluence of extra expense and useless virtue-signalling! But their compatriots 7,500 miles to the east in "Palestine" are undoubtedly the world record holders for stupidity combined with evil, and here is "Elder of Ziyon" to point out exactly how horrible they are. Moving on we discover that even crazy leftist judges stumble onto justice every now and then, and also how Fox News is descending into typical leftist behavior by running ads produced by a fake Republican group.
It gets worse though, with an article discussing Russia and China's growing geopolitical cooperation. and "Elder of Ziyon" back with an explanation of British Labor's mea culpa about their rabid Jew-hate disguised as "anti-Zionism." But Daniel Greenfield drags us from the brink with a chat about a win in Ilhan Omar's back yard! For a bit of a change, a discussion about an historical smackdown of the Jesuits. Regardless of how you might feel about them, they were and are an interesting bunch.
And look! A Baltimore deputy police commissioner gets mugged at gunpoint. This one is marvelous, because he has a cop's title but he is most certainly not a cop. Powerline pokes fun at the global warming fiasco, and FrontpageMag points out the vicious racism of Julian Castro's mom. And speaking of racists, Venezuela claims that their blackout was caused by an EMP, undoubtedly detonated by the capitalist pigs in the White House. And in even better news, we are pushing back (finally) against the Chinese and their cozy relationship with Iran: sanctioning their state oil company for importing Iranian oil.
And the best news of the day? Judicial Watch is filing an ethics complaint against Ilhan Omar...our favorite 6th century throwback in the House!
Let's close with some heartwarming news. The remains of a New York sailor killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor are finally coming home. There is plenty to criticize about the U.S. Government and our military, but there are people who take this kind of stuff very, very seriously, and work amazingly hard to find, identify and return our fallen servicemen. We owe these people a debt of gratitude for the honorable work they do, and the respect they show our fallen.
