Third-Ranking Democrat Representative Clyburn: We'll Impeach Trump "At Some Point"

David French, Shep Smith, Chris Wallace and AllahPundit are on board, but what about real Americans?

On Sunday, House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) appeared on CNN's "State of the Union" with Jake Tapper and declared that he believes Trump will be impeached "at some point." However, before that can happen, Democrats must build a solid case for it....

According to Clyburn, Mueller "developed the grounds for impeachment," but apparently he feels there isn't a solid case for it yet. If the Mueller report didn't build a solid case for it, which it didn't, then what exactly can Democrats do to build that case? The answer is nothing.

Matt Margolis notes that a recent Rasmussen poll shows little public appetite for impeaching Trump -- or Barr, as Democrats keep threatening to do.

According to a new Rasmussen poll, "Voters think their threats against President Trump, Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh are going nowhere." A whopping 71 percent of voters think it is unlikely that the House of Representatives will impeach Trump, Barr, or Brett Kavanaugh. Only 22 percent believe impeachment of any of them is likely.

We already know that impeaching Trump is a losing issue for them, and this poll confirms that only 40 percent of voters think Trump should be impeached. But, if Democrats were hoping they found a winning issue with the impeaching Attorney General Barr (over bogus allegations of misrepresenting the Mueller report and perjury) they were gravely mistaken. A mere 31 percent of voters support impeaching Barr.

A new-ish poll from CBS says that a majority of Americans think it's time to MoveOn.org.

In a new poll from CBS, 53% of the respondents said Congress needs to drop the investigation into Russian meddling and move to other issues. Fifty-eight percent also said they had heard enough about the report from the special counsel's investigation, which was headed by Robert Mueller.

Among Democrats, 73% say the investigation into Russian meddling during the 2016 presidential election needs to continue. This is an increase from when the question was asked in March.
