The Morning Report - 5/6/19

Good morning kids. Start of a new week, and there's much to cover so let's get with it. First up, with the two-year tempest in a Teapot Dome of Trump/Russia collusion now done, we are hopefully in the calm before the storm of righteous retribution as President Trump and AG Barr pursue those who inflicted serious damage to the foundation of our republic and society. Arguably nearly as serious though minus the bloodshed (so far) of the Civil War. Whether that damage is irreparable will only be known with the passage of time, and as a cockeyed optimist/realist, I have my misgivings. For now, many of the key players/plotters who sought the overthrow of this President and indeed the will of the people who elected him are about to have a very bright and hopefully hot light (preferably a blow torch) directed on them. Hence the puerile, headless Steve Cohen funky chicken dance in Congress last week, the concomitant lying from the Agitprop Media, as well as ramped up calls for impeachment (despite cooler heads knowing it's electoral suicide) as a desperate attempt to circle the wagons, scare team Trump (as if) and bamboozle the public as to what's really going on and who the real bad guys are. My gut tells me that that chicken is now a mass of pulverized bones, feathers and gribenes to even the most clueless of low information voters.

Of all of the traitors and criminals, perhaps the most loathsome of the bunch was/is James Comey. The great Victor Davis Hanson details how if this loping, sanctimonious, self-righteous hunk of piss isn't quaking in his boots as to what might come down on his head, he ought to be:

...Comey seems to be prepping his own defense by a transparent preemptive attack on the very official who may soon calibrate Comey's own legal exposure. Comey should at least offer a disclaimer that the federal prosecutor he is now attacking may soon be adjudicating his own future -- if for no other reason than to prevent a naif from assuming that Comey's gambit of attacking Barr is deliberately designed to suggest later on that prosecutor Barr harbored a prejudicial dislike of likely defendant Comey.

How ironic that Comey who used to lecture the nation on "obstruction" and the impropriety of Trump's editorializing about the Mueller prosecutorial team, is now attacking -- or perhaps "obstructing" -- the Attorney General before he has even issued a single indictment...

Lots of other good essays in this section to bolster and complement Hanson's, so have at them.

The other big story is/are events on the world stage. The so-called "Palestinians" acting as proxies for Iran have unleashed a rocket barrage on Israel from Gaza which resulted in a retaliatory strike by the IDF that vaporized a key terrorist. Naturally the domestic and international media blame the evil Jooz for the carnage as well as the crime against nature of not allowing Hitler and his fellow socialists to turn them into ashes at Birkenau. But I digress. Meanwhile, the twin towers of taqqiya - actually they're not so hot in the taqqiya department - "Bro-Fo" Omar and Rancida Tliban have openly attacked Israel and defended the terrorists. Shocking, I know. Actually, for the first time I can ever recall we have a sighting of the heretofore fabled "moderate Muslim," a so-called "Imam of Peace" who has slammed the aforementioned clit-less wonders for their hideous remarks. A welcome change of pace from the usual deafening silence and/or ululation from Jersey rooftops we're accustomed to.

Moving on to the border, Trump has tapped former Obama border chief Mark Morgan to head ICE. The pedigree seems bad but the article says he's a pro-Trump border wall hawk so why not?

Dem Scandal Sheet: Joe Bidet is going to feel the heat about his son's shady and lucrative dealings with Ukraine. Also, it turns out the Alabama scumbag who spewed Trump jr. should be aborted was once represented by the state's Democrat Senator Doug Jones. Sweet home, indeed. Sheesh.

Politics: Get this, Hillary claims 2016 was stolen from her. Tell me she is not going to announce another bid for the nomination. Meanwhile, Nancy Palsi is dragging out a beaten-to-death bromide of Trump not respecting the results of 2020 if he loses. You mean like she and the rest of the party did in 2016? Also, Beto seems beat-o, Democrat impeachment schizophrenia, a SCOTUS Twitter poll that actually wasn't rigged?, Joe Bidet is clueless or in the pocket of China or both, and Klobuchar and Booker are total jokes.

First Amendment and Fake News Fakery: CNN smeared the Covington Kids nonstop but had zero coverage of the Philly Muslim I-Keel-You kiddies (more on that in a bit), Mark Levin and Phyllis Chesler on the NY Times Joo-hatred, Facebook is a protected monopoly and comedian Rob Schneider with sobering thoughts on Big Tech totalitarianism.

Guns - Mike DeWine seems squishy, so beware.

Abortion: Pennsy state rep abuses elderly pro-life woman and a heart-rending essay on the value of one tiny human life.

Foreign Desk: NSA Bolton warns Iran about meddling in Gaza, US condemns the attacks, Russia disputes US claims about Venezuela plus several good essays on that situation, Trump to hike tariffs on Chi-Coms as concerns rise about latter's growing nuke capabilities, Gallia est omnes divisa etc., and Conrad Black with a cromulent question.

We-All-Slam-For-I-Slam: Philadelphia Islamic Society investigating disgusting video of little kids calling for beheading and jihad against infidels (investigating how it was leaked, no doubt), and the linkage between seemingly disparate Islamic terror groups. It's called the Koran, I think. Actually the Muslim Brotherhood which at long last will get the terrorist designation it deserves.

Domestic News: Illinois' Pritzker wants to soak the taxpayers and the state legislature outdoes him, Matt Gaetz bemoans lack of deficit cutters in Congress, $2 trillion on infrastructure is a trap, and the threat from the administrative state. Dovetails nicely with my opening rant.

The Economy: Number of unemployed hits 19-year low (thanks Obama - for sucking so bad and giving us Trump) and David Harsanyi on liberals being wrong about tax cuts for the umpteenth time (libs, not Harsanyi).

Education: Academia as a breeding ground and bastion of Joo-hatred.

Red Greens: Two on the insane folly of solar, even the NOAA admits that it's placement of temperature sensors in front of exhaust grills or Arizona parking lots might have skewed the global warming numbers a tad, and New York's energy-choking suicide.

Meanwhile, in real science, the three words if you want real energy independence - drill, baby, drill.

Feminazism: R.S. McCain looks at fighting back in the war on masculinity.

Hither and Yon: Daniel Greenfield with another excellent outing on the mass brainwashing of our society from all corners, a good accompaniment on how to sell capitalism to brainwashed "yoots," bizarre ending to the Kentucky Derby has fans enraged, self-righteous Donny Deutsch fantasized about nailing dames in his employ (charges to emerge in 5,4,3,2...), Brett Easton Ellis mugged by reality, the other Armenian Genocide, sad and frightening Gallup poll on church attendance, Walter Williams on a Thomas Sowell classic, and finally, Riley Howell will be given a burial with full military honors. I know we disparage the youth of this nation, but I hope there are many more like this lad. Heaven knows we need them more than ever. RIP.
