The Morning Rant

"When you hear progressives weeping and wailing about Trump and waving their hands trying to convince you that he's just beyond the pale of what's acceptable, remember that's how progressives viewed Ronald Reagan. The only difference is, (a) Unlike Reagan, Trump gets into the mud with the mud-slingers and fights back and is not afraid of a little hand-to-hand combat. And (b) conservatives have a much louder voice now than they did then. And (c) since the progressive template for at least the past 2 decades goes like this: ' is[racist|sexist|homophobic|Islamophobic]', why is Trump any different? Somebody confronted that pus-filled little pimple Bill Maher on this point awhile back, and his reply was basically 'yeah, but this time we mean it.' In other words, he conceded the point that progressives are liars who argue in bad faith and all of their accusations are just meaningless slurs. But they've used them so often that nobody listens, and nobody cares. Within the last week, though, they've rolled out a new device, the "Trump's words are endangering my life" tactic. Illhan Omar and AOC have both been hammering this point pretty hard. The goal though, is not to defend their views, but to silence the opposition. At this point, our only response should be a full-throated horse laugh."
