12 Republicans Cross the Aisle to Vote with the Democrats for Open Borders; Trump Promises Veto
Here is the Open Borders caucus of the GOP, which only offered talk and more insincere talk against Obama's DACA action, but suddenly turn into strict constitutionalist tough guys when Trump uses his statutory power -- not inherent constitutional power, which is very iffy and bullshitty, but expressly delegated statutory power -- to build a wall.
There is no constitutional objection to this, as he is using a statutory grant of power. They dress it up as a separation-of-powers constitutional objection, however, because they are liars and cowards who do not want to admit they simply oppose the wall, oppose border enforcement, and favor Obama's de facto open borders regime.
I guess this crew is telling us which promises they mean and to whom. They mean the promises they make to their corporate masters and liberal friends; they don't mean the ones they make to you, Deporable Voters.

Trump announced his veto, which means they'll vote again and will have to get a 2/3rds majority in both houses to override:
I look forward to VETOING the just passed Democrat inspired Resolution which would OPEN BORDERS while increasing Crime, Drugs, and Trafficking in our Country. I thank all of the Strong Republicans who voted to support Border Security and our desperately needed WALL!
Meanwhile, one Republican who did not vote against the emergency declaration is Sassy Sasse, who all the cucks and NeverTrumps want to be their boyfriend.
They all haz sadz now.
Is there a statement--anything--to explain @BenSasse's rationale here?
This might be the most @BenSasse statement ever and it's total weaselly bullshit. Either take a stand, or don't. Either make the case for Trump, or don't. But don't cave and then act like it's the principled decision. https://t.co/VDW2IcHQS7
The fundamental problem for Ben Sasse is that this is discordant. It’s off brand. It goes against everything he allegedly stands for. If Sasse isn’t the guy who (eloquently) takes a principled stand on this, why does he even exist as a political entity? What’s his raison d'être?
The raison d'etre of Matt Lewis is to sucer la bite.
Update: More little girls crying that their dreamboat turned out to be a zero, not a hero!
The damage the Ben Sasses of the world do with votes like this isn't a mirage. When you make "principles above all" your brand, you lose your right to go along to get along. Otherwise you just convince people "principles above all" is a bit for suckers.https://t.co/4Dhctf7LlE
