The Morning Report - 1/18/19

Good morning kids. The weekend is here and what a week it's been, capped off by President Trump's canceling Palsi Pelosi's PR junket and international shopping spree at the last second, which someone here labeled "the pimp-slap heard 'round the world," to be followed up by the proverbial kick in the rear end of dumping her luggage in front of her office. This man has absolutely shredded so many narratives and pure political bullshit over just this past month alone that you'd swear it was the Democrats that got wiped out last November instead of taking control of the House mere days ago. And he's not doing this out of meanness or spite or pettiness; he's doing this to underscore the deadly serious nature with which he treats our national security and sovereignty as well as the Democrat-Left-Media Complex's lack of seriousness and indeed eagerness to keep America vulnerable.

For all the self-righteous cucks and schmucks out there about to collapse onto a fainting couch because the crude orange man with the combover and Queens accent gave them the vapors, this is what fighting back looks like. Much as I loathe them, I always envied the fact that the Dems, even when out of power, never gave an inch and in fact were even that much more shrill and strident since they knew that the GOP would defer to "their friends across the aisle" in the interest of comity and al that rot. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but those days are over. Trump is giving the Democrats and their Media handlers a dose of their own medicine and now, suddenly, irritants like Lindsay Graham, Ben Shapiro and all the rest find it childish, petty and beneath the dignity of the office and all that crap. Sorry, but in the immortal words of Andrew Breitbart PBUH, fuck you; war. And you better start acting like it is because that's exactly what we're in.

With the wall still unfunded and yet another bought-and-paid-for migrant invasion "caravan" slithering north towards the border, Trump lays out yet another truth bomb about the Democrat Party, a hack-in-black invents a right out of whole cloth that an illegal can sue law enforcement to prevent deportation, a follow-on piece underscoring the need for this President to now just ignore what is, in point of fact, an out of control and rogue Judiciary that is usurping legal Executive Branch authority, and lastly a sour note about college grads protesting the increase in H1-B visas.

Now, to the Democrat-Left Crime Blotter: BLM white night "Talcum X" is getting blasted on Twitter for threatening to sue a black female critic, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus sure lives high on the puerco, and Daniel Greenfield exposes the utter fraud that is now the Anti-Defamation League.

"Shutdown" Theatre: President Trump has cancelled an administration delegation trip to the Davos economic summit, Marsha Blackburn is high on holding the SOTU address in the Senate while maybe the shutdown precipitating not having these speeches at all could be a blessing in disguise.

Politics: Gallup poll shows America's biggest concerns are government and immigration. I will assume it means out of control government and open borders and not the Socialist viewpoint of those terms. The 2020 Democrat field is pretty flaccid, Ocasio-TacoRosado is giving the Democrats agita, a long-serving GOP congressman suddenly retires just days into his fifth term, Max-Scene "mikva" Waters wants money for homelessness (yes, when Dems get our money they create homelessness), Virginia governor's soak-the-taxpayer plan is DOA in the legislature, and two fine essays, one from the great Thomas Sowell, on the vapidity and violence of Dem-Leftist rhetoric.

First Amendment and Fake News Fakery: a potentially huge story where a conservative immigration watchdog group has filed a RICO suit against the SPLC, in the wake of the vicious attack on Karen Pence we have two links on the ramping up of the Leftist war on religion (specifically Judeo-Christianity), another big win as the 5th Circuit rules against Planned Mengelehood vis a vis the undercover filmmakers who exposed them, an old lesbian couple loses their suit against a retirement community that refused to let them live there (tolerance is not acceptance), the media sure isn't covering the 2020 Dem prexy race like it did the GOP in 2016, and the Other McCain on the "climate of hate" myth.

Mueller Cover-Up of Democrat Crimes and the Coup: a top Obama aide lied to the DoJ about Manafort, Mollie Hemingway on the Mueller team actually colluding (that's c-o-l-l-u-d-i-n-g) with Fusion-GPS before the 2016 election and all of this means we are indeed a banana republic... if we can keep swallow it.

Guns, Guns, Guns: in the wake of some of the in-your-face protests that could get more than just ugly, a female Virginia legislator is proud to open-carry, Austin gets smacked for violating a state gun law, a warning about credit card companies as de-facto/surrogate gun-grabbers, gun crime stats fly in the face of Leftist propaganda, and the fate of highly successful "MeatEater" now that a big-time gun-grabbing Democrat has purchased a majority stake in the company. I suspect it'll get a Gillette to the jugular.

Foreign Affairs: Terrorist car bomb blast kills 21 at a Colombian police training camp (stink-eye at Maduro), a Yellow Vest protestor gets shot in the head by a French cop (Eiffel Tower-ing inferno?), the Krauts nab a Farsi spy in the Wehrmacht (stood up at a wall on the Bendler Block or kissed on the cheek by Merkwurdige Merkel?), fight the Chi-Com intellectual property larceny and USAID will finally cut off the so-called Palestinians. Also, Trump will ramp up US missile defense hugely and yes, let's get the hell out of Afghanistan.
