Rural Working Class in France Rioting in Protest of "Global Warming" Fuel Taxes, Globalism;
Antifa and Far-Right Said to be Rioting on Same Side

The "Gilets Jaunes" are wearing their yellow fluorescent jackets, which the government requires them to have in their vehicles to make them visible during vehicle breakdowns, etc., to protest Macron's newest round of gas taxes to fight "global warming."

This is the third weekend in a row of unrest, property damage, and violence.

The French government is considering "all options" to control protests against rising fuel prices that have turned violent in Paris over the last three weeks, a spokesman said Sunday.

Speaking on France's Europe 1 radio, spokesman Benjamin Griveaux said the government is thinking about steps to prevent "serious outbursts of violence," including introducing a state of emergency.

More than 400 people were arrested and 133 injured in Paris on Saturday in clashes between police and protesters with the "gilets jaune" or "yellow vest" movement, who are protesting rising gas prices and taxes on polluting forms of transport.
An estimated 36,000 people demonstrated in Saturday's protests across the country, marking the third consecutive week of such demonstrations, according to the French Interior Ministry. About 53,000 participated last week and about 113,000 the week before.

Griveaux said that between 1,000 and 1,500 people joined Saturday's demonstrations "only to fight with the police, to break and loot." He added that those protesters "have nothing to do with the yellow vests."

More from ABC:

Paris police say 133 people have been injured and 412 have been arrested during France's worst urban riot in years.

Police said Sunday that those injured during Saturday's protest included 23 police officers. They say 378 of the arrested have been put in police custody after the violence that tore apart parts of central Paris.

A protest against rising taxes and the high cost of living turned into a riot in the French capital, as activists wearing yellow jackets torched cars, smashed windows, looted stores and tagged the Arc de Triomphe with multi-colored graffiti.

At Le Figaro, a politician said there were 1000 injuries, not 133, and Paris mayor Hildago says there have been 3-4 million euros in damage caused by the protests/riots.

The Arc de Triomphe itself is said to have been damaged in the rioting, though I think that might just consist of the above-mentioned graffiti.

National Front (now called the National Rally) leader Marianne LePen is, naturally, supportive of the uprising. Saying she had supported the uprising "from the first hour of the first day," she went on:

Marine Le Pen boasted of having "sensed for a very long time that a social crisis was brewing in France" and that "the discontentment would burst out." "It bursts out in the street, and, believe me, I regret that," she added. "For a long time I have spoken of the France of the forgotten. This France which is never on the radars of the politicians who prefer to busy themselves with minorities of every kind to the detriment of the majority of the French. Maybe I was right too soon," she continued.

She called upon Macron to "renounce your fiscal policies which the French want no more of. This will not be perceived as a sign of weakness, but as a gesture of
a statesman who has listened [to the people] and who loves them."

The CMPE, a union of employers (yes, I guess France has unions for employers has called for the cancellation of the fuel tax hike.

Judging the "risk of paralysis of the French economy" as being "quite real," the [CPME] called on Monday for the cancellation [of the fuel tax.]

"A fourth Saturday of disorder must not be a possibility," warned the CPME regarding the damage...

"We must somehow reassure as rapidly as possible the French and the economic actors if France is to put back in working order," the president of the CPME... told the AFP.

The government "cannot simply respond that the tax will be kept because so far, this response has only increased the uprising," he said, calling it a "real mess."

Tim Pool covered the riots here, stating that some on the ground are calling this a "revolution" or a "civil war." He also says that Antifa has joined with the far right to protest/riot against Macron.

This Time article mentions some of this:

Some radical far-right and far-left activists were involved in the riot, as well as a "great number" of protesters wearing yellow jackets, Delpuech said....

Earlier Sunday, Macron visited the Arc de Triomphe, which had damaged statues as well as graffiti. One slogan on the famed war memorial read: "Yellow jackets will triumph." He then headed to a nearby avenue where activists battled police on Saturday to meet with firefighters, police officers and restaurant owners.

Update: We want Trump?!

Here's the thing, though: the guy on the bus is wearing a Trump mask and many people are laughing. So this might be a half-kidding, half-serious thing. Or more than half-kidding.

Maybe they're just adopting Trump as their Pepe: The meme you know will send your opponents to the fainting couches.

BTW, the crowd is chanting in perfect English, so I don't know where this was shot, or if this was just mostly a group of expats. But I don't know, I've never chanted in a foreign language. Maybe your accent goes away.

More: I thought maybe this was actually London (double decker bus and all) and a commenter says the gear the cops are wearing looks like English cop gear.

Or should I say "Bobby Kit."

No I shouldn't; that's gay.

...

Let's finish on a happy note: Making fun of silly cuck Max Boot for having said that Emmanuel Macron would unite not only France but the world itself as the anti-Trump.
