Chris Cuomo Now Being Attacked by Left-Wing For Saying That Border Patrol Was Doing Its "Duty" By Using Tear Gas to Disperse Violent Border-Rushers

The left has brought out the Hitler Card, accusing Cuomo of deploying the "Nuremberg Defense."

CNN's Chris Cuomo was widely criticized on Twitter on Sunday night after he tweeted about the migrant caravan being tear-gassed, offering a defense of police in the situation by saying the "point is to not demonize the men and women in duty without cause."

Many remarked that the comments from the "New Day" host were in line with the "Nuremberg defense" -- a plea in a court of law that a person, like a police officer or a member of the military, should not be held guilty for actions they carried out at the request of a superior officer or an official.

"Many remembered" this, as if this is some obscure fact you have to be a genius to recall. (This is the HuffPo; perhaps this amazing bit of historical recall really did impress them.)

"I have seen lots of people, kids, elderly gassed. I have been gassed. It sucks," Cuomo tweeted. "The situation sucks but the point is to not demonize the men and women in duty without cause and to address the problems that lead to them facing this overwhelming group of people who deserve help."

After being attacked, Cuomo decided to say that whoever released the gas did commit some kind of atrocity. He just doesn't want everyone blamed:

"My point is just to say that all of CBP is not to blame. Find the facts of who did what and go from there. That's what we are doing," he wrote in one tweet.

Note that Chris Cuomo intimated, as recently as November 9, that the migrant horde wasn't even real but was just something Trump had made up for the election.

And speaking of hysteria, a Democrat Senator from Hawaii accused the Border Patrol of violating the chemical weapons treaty by deploying tear gas on a violent mob.

By the way -- Obama's Border Patrol used pepper spray on rock-throwing border "protesters" in 2013. But I guess pepper spray is cool, because Central Americans love cayenne in their food.

Trump just called on Congress to fund the wall -- and it has to be admitted, if there was a real wall, people wouldn't bother trying to charge it (what would be the point?) and Border Patrol wouldn't need to use tear gas. Weakness is provocative.

Trump is suggesting there may be a government shut-down unless the wall is funded:

Congress is rushing to strike a deal to fund large parts of the government by Dec. 7 to avoid a partial government shutdown. On Thursday, Trump said "there certainly could be" a shutdown over border security as he seeks $5 billion for wall construction in the next fiscal year.

If you don't like kids (pushed forth by their parents as human shields) being tear-gassed, fund the fucking wall.

Mexico has announced it will in fact deport the group that rushed the US border:

Mexico will deport Central American migrants who attempted to storm the US border, its interior ministry said.

The group, part of the migrant caravan heading towards the US from Central America, was rounded up after trying to cross the border "violently" and "illegally" on Sunday.

Video footage shows dozens of people running towards the border fence near the city of Tijuana.

US border officers used tear gas to repel them.

On Monday US officials confirmed that 42 people who managed to cross on Sunday had been arrested.

The Washington Post must not have realized there was video of the border-rushers, because they're pushing this lie:
