The Morning Report - 11/22/18

whatwehave.jpg

Good morning kids. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Lots of good links to get your bile flowing so let's dive right in. First to the Democrat scandal sheet and lookie here! Democrat candidate for Senate from Mississippi Mike Espy was able to pay off a $267,000 tax debt he owed the IRS that had been hanging over his head at almost exactly the same time he had been lobbying for the despotic leader of Ivory Coast. Purely coincidental and not a smidgen of corruption there at all, so let your heart not be troubled. And then we have Daniel Greenfield to tell us about Lance Mason. Anyone other than Ohio Hordesters ever hear of him? He's a Democrat judge (yes, Mr. Chief Justice; one of those) and a friend of Democrat bigwigs. He also beat his wife in front of his toddlers and then murdered her. I can almost hear Charlie Gibson saying "never heard of him." I suppose in the grand scheme of things we shouldn't complain about Alcee Hastings. or Hugo Black. And then, as he exits the smoldering ruins, figuratively and quite literally, of the Golden State, Moonbeam Brown pardons a California lawmaker convicted of voter fraud. That's the voter fraud the Democrat-Media complex claims is right-wing propaganda. The stink of Orange County turning blue is that much more pungent. And lastly, Florida (the state, not Esther Rolle) will be investigating the Democrat Party there for fraud in the wake of the shit-show it created attempting to steal the senate and gubernatorial elections. I look forward to not seeing any coverage of this either.

Moving to the migrant invasion army at the border, the President has given broad authority to Secretary of Defense Mattis for his troops to act as they see fit to prevent anyone from crossing the border illegally, including detention and the use of lethal force. Good. Immigration hawk Kris Kobach is 100% right that the system isn't broken, but that the laws are just not being enforced, polling shows immigration has skyrocketed to the number 1 concern in the USA, even the Mexican Ambassador gets it right about who these potential invaders are, food stamp usage among legal immigrants drops dramatically, and a call for the lame duck Congress to secure the damn border. I'm sure Paul Ryno and Kevin "Charlie" McCarthy will get right on that. Yup.

To politics in general where the big headline is the fallout over Chief Justice Roberts rebuking of President Trump for his totally justified criticism of Hawaiian Judge Buch M. Danno's unconstitutional power-grab. And, of all people, Chuck Grassley got the final word in in the argument. I guess the Kavanaugh travesty is still keeping him energized. And speaking of the 50th state, this Hawaiian coconut Tulsi "I-Slut" Gabbard spewing out a clueless vulgarity about the President vis a vis his moving on with Saudi Arabia in the wake of the Khashoggi killing. The Cliff Notes truth is despite the act being a ham-handed fiasco, Khashoggi was 99 44/100% Muslim Brotherhood member and 56/100% journalist. We also live in a real world and not a vapid John Lennon song where taking sides with a brutal regime is sometimes necessary in order to secure our own national interests. But, not to Gabbard. Meh, vulgar dolt's gotta vulgar.

In First Amendment and Fake News Fakery, confusion reigns at Facebook vis a vis the outgoing communications chief and supposed Soros-funded conservative critics of the site (the lead paragraph in the article makes my head spin), and yet Zuckerberg forced out a top executive who refused to disavow his support for President Trump. Meh, despite the confusion and misdirection, the salient point is Facebook is hard Left. Remember that and the rest is just noise meant to distract. Lastly you'll be surprised, I'm sure, to find that the Media has all but buried the insane remarks of Eric Swalwell wanting to nuke anyone who refuses to hand over their guns to the State. Meanwhile, the NRA's lawsuit against Andrew "Cui-Bono" over his blacklisting of pro-gun groups in the Empire State is going to move forward. Probably be switched to a courtroom in Honolulu...

At the foreign desk, Mollie Hemingway delves into how the media gets PDT's position on the Saudis totally wrong, a dissident Chinese billionaire is putting big bucks up to aid victims of Chi-Com tyranny, Putin's stooge is defeated by a South Korean in the Interpol Prexy derby, what the hell are we doing negotiating with the fucking Taliban, the folly of an EU army, the UN's plan for global domination, and David "Spengler" Goldman on our new cold (for now) war with the Chi-Coms. There's an alarming report that Iran was ready to build as many as 5 nuke warheads, the US Space Force evidently won't cost nearly as much as reported (DC bureaucrat laugh), and an interesting essay on World War One as the start of American interventionism. Some good points. You be the judge.

Closer to home, this California wildfire is just unbelievable in its destruction and the search continues for scores of people missing, Victor Davis Hanson with the usual terrific outing on the fires, how to make Congress more accountable (pitchforks and vats of boiling tar?), 24 arrested in Rhode Island for a $50,000 food stamp swindle (chump change), a crime lab sends a woman to jail over meth found in her car but it turns out to have been cotton candy (I can see CBD's head exploding), a closer look at the lame duck crime bill, and be thankful for a cheap and abundant Thanksgiving table.

In health news, sharing a meal even in a dysfunctional family is good for you, a pro-choice group is warning that abortion clinics are shuttering at an alarming rate, which might have something to do with the very good news that abortions across the nation and across racial/ethnic lines are way down, and Molly DeVos scores another win by reinstating a college watchdog Obama had shut down.

In the Red-Green department, a court has indefinitely postponed that Kiddie Kommie Kilmate lawsuit, and in Femi-Nazi news, yes let's have gender.

From hither and yon, white libs love black people... from afar, 40% of those polled want to avoid politics at the Thanksgiving table, a young American preacher was killed by natives on an island off India, a look at this new show Outlaw King in context to Brexit, feel good story about a very generous good samaritan, another great essay from Victor Davis Hanson postulating that the 1968 hippies finally won the culture war, and the oldest living military survivor of Pearl Harbor, Ray Chavez, passes away at the age of 106. G-d bless your memory and thank you for your service.

And to cap it all off, Abraham Lincoln's proclamation declaring Thanksgiving a national holiday. Save me a drumstick.

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

PS: JFK got assassinated by a Communist on this day in 1963.
