Via John Sexton, another chance to watch snowflakes melt under the glare of a simple question.
I like the one little genius who says that rather than having a feast, "we could maybe feed the natives or something?"
The natives.
I like her deployment of the Spoiled We. Not the Royal We, the Spoiled We. Because when she says we could "feed the Natives," she means "someone else, definitely not me, could feed the Natives."
Nothing stops her from feeding the Natives now, obviously. Her school has a Native American group, as all schools do. You know, the sort of Native American group that Elizabeth Warren never joined.
She could make sandwiches, or pasta, or humus, or whatever and just show up and say, "Hey, Natives, here is some food. Let me feed you."
Obviously, though, she has no intention of doing this. She's just doing Hashtag Virtue Signalling but in real life.
