The Morning Report - 11/6/18

liflib.jpg

Good morning kids. Well the day where we've either dreaded or anticipated is here: the 2018 Midterm Elections. From my perspective, on the granular level, things like polling are meaningless especially the polls from a while back which, aside from fodder for the 24-hour news cycle are there for one purpose, and that is to shape and mold public opinion and not to reflect it. Along with the roaring economy which the media either downplayed, covered up or credited Barack Obama (the president whose sole mission was to simultaneously destroy the free market and manage its decline), we had the ongoing Mueller witch hunt, the Kavanaugh persecutions, sometimes violent confrontations with citizens and GOP leaders alike and the killer-diller, the pre-manufactured migrant invasion caravan that underscores and drives home the reason why Trump was elected in the first place. All of these things no doubt have sealed the deal for many people insofar as not to influence their taking a side but to motivate them to get off their collective keisters and get to the polls.

The Senate looks to be a GOP lock and the only question here is will the shameless political hackery of Democrat Senators in red states which came to the fore during the Kavanaugh hearings as well as the revelations (really confirmations) of their duplicitousness with the O'Keefe/Veritas exposes seal their fate, and is there even a shot at kicking Menendez, Whitehouse and Brown to curb as well? It's hard to tell if Rick Scott and Martha McSally will prevail since the polls are now all over the place. We will definitely need at least a couple of extra "buffers" in order to quash what I predict will be a giant headache in the form of Collins, Murkowski and Mitt Romney.

The big question remains the fate of the GOP majority in the House. Conventional wisdom states, a) the party in power always loses significant numbers of seats during midterm elections and perhaps the control of one or more houses of Congress, while b) incumbency is difficult for challengers to overcome although c) that doesn't necessarily jibe with anti-incumbency sentiments ("splunge" for me too, please). On the downside, about 40 or so GOP incumbents are retiring because their committee chairmanships are term-limited and they do not want to be mere backbenchers. We also had a ridiculous gerrymandering of many districts in Pennsylvania that prior to last summer were fairly solid GOP and now are purple-ish at best. On the plus side, a good number of the retiring incumbents were Trump backers and their replacements are the same and most of all Trump himself. I think along with the economy, the renewed sense of American purpose (for the unbrainwashed "deplorable" anyway), saner foreign policy and the crisis at our border, there are a lot of people who are engaged like never before. We shall see starting at around 9:30 or so tonight.

The other marquee races include the governorships of both Florida and Georgia. I cannot imagine either of those utter walking disasters getting elected and at least in Georgia, I think Stacy Abrams will tank (get it?). Despite the polling data, I think Florida will dodge one big ass bullet with Gillum. One thing is for sure, the two of these tits are absolute indicators of what the Democrat Party in America is: openly radical and anti-American to the extreme. This is why it is crucial to maintain control of Congress and win as many of these elections as we possibly can on every level. It would be a repudiation of the direction the Democrats want to drive the nation, and of course, it would force them to double and triple down on it and hopefully seal their fate for at least a generation.

Now, on to the headlines in particular, first there is definite evidence coming to light that this Ilhan Omar dame in Minnesota lied about being married to her brother, and committed both immigration and tax fraud. Considering who she and her constituents are, I don't see that as an obstacle to her electoral chances, although a one way ticket for her and her brood back to Mogadishu on Aerolineas Pinochet would be appropriate. And a reporter who thought she hung up the phone on John James' voicemail reveals how she truly feels about him. Whoopsie.

The President capped off his campaign road trip with stops in Indiana stumping for Mike Braun and ripping into Joe Donnelly, and ultimately wound up in Cape Girardeau, Missouri with guests Sean Hannity and the town's favorite son Rush Limbaugh. Both drew thousands upon thousands both inside the venues and watching outside as well, which is the same scenario played out since the beginning of the summer when the President hit the campaign trail. Pundits will say this is meaningless as it does not translate into votes. Then again, 2016. And from what I have heard the crowds showing up are even greater than those from two years ago and this is a midterm election. The President also took time out to talk with Mark Levin on his show and was optimistic about the GOP's prospects going into today.

All that said, once again Nate "Splunge for me too" Silver says 88% lock the Dems retake the House, but the New York Times has pulled its electoral peter-meter so as not to give the Lefties palpitations, a telling IBD/TIPP poll shows Americans think they are indeed better off now than they were two years ago, another poll shows that the GOP base is fired up because PDT nationalized the immigration issue, which the media was desperate to hide until the "caravan" blew that plot to hell, Rick Scott is optimistic of beating fossilized Bill Nelson, Scott Wallace is scaring voters with weird campaign flyers, Lindsey Graham is energized about a renewed party unity (hopefully in the direction where we want it to go), DC wants to lower the voting age to 16, which tells you the kind of voters they need (young and brainwashed), a look at some key races and time to seal the closing argument.

In First Amendment and fake news fakery, the President's brutal ad featuring illegal alien subhuman Luis Bracamontes, seen up top with his guardian angel, has been pulled from the major networks, Fox included, because of its alleged insensitivity and racism. No, it was pulled because it's one of the most effective political ads ever made (right up there with LBJ's nuking the little girl with the flower and Willie Horton). And ironically, pulling the ad has brought a ton of attention to it. And in the Day-Ending-in-"Y" Department, the NY Times likens Trump to Hitler. They're now down to a handful of feathers and a loose cloaca over at the gray lady-boy.

Elsewhere, on the international scene the President's increased Iran sanctions kick in but the Free Beacon is reporting loopholes vis a vis their nuke weapons research. Hmm. And PDT is scheduled to collude with Putin at the G-20 summit later this month. Domestically, the President says there will be changes in the cabinet no matter how the elections shake out, two insane cases involving amnesty and climate fraud are on the way up towards SCOTUS, a couple of links about blue shit-hole pension and other economic troubles, the Kavanaugh files from the Senate Judiciary Committee confirm the utter lie the whole thing was and after 9 years of Common Core, all you have to show for it is another generation of brainwashed and uneducated children. That is the real battlefront for the heart and soul and future of this nation. And we have hardly scratched the surface.

From hither and yon, Christian Toto on the typical Hollywood appeal to voters, racism on the rise in America (mostly from the Left) and Dennis Prager on an often discussed topic here, the nature of American Jews and why they're insane Leftists.

Now go vote like your life depended on it. And if you already did, offer to take elderly neighbors and others for some donuts and coffee AFTER you take them to the polls. Keep the faith. Victory.

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.
