Ace of Spades Pet Thread

Look-what-the-dog-drug-in.jpg

Welcome to the almost world famous AoS Pet Thread. Forget about current events and news and enjoy the world of animals.

Look what the dog dragged in. So Horde do any of you have pet doors? Any of you have a nightmare or two to share with us?

I've never had one. Over the years I've had dogs who opened screen/storm doors. I have one now who is pretty good at it.

A Little of This. A Little of That.

A good doggeh, like a good captain, will never abandon a ship sofa.

I chuckled at this.

The orange one is Kami (full name, Kami-chan, I didn't name him. The black and white is the sweetest pitbull I ever met (and I consider them good for nothing more than mauling toddlers) on a drug search warrant. So glad she was friendly. As you can see, her bastard of an owner was prepping to get her to fighting mode, but her temperament didn't match. We got her a better home, and her owner a long term stay courtesy of the State.

Many thanks and warm furry companions,

Xenophon

That is wonderful news about the doggeh. Looks like a big sweetie! Thanks for thinking of us and submitting the photos.

Hello Mis Hum

Semi lurker, occasional poster Winston here.
The kitty is a semi stray in the neighborhood. Obviously has a home but no tag as he's pretty well fed.
I call him Timeshare Kitty
He started coming by in the mornings just after I put bird seed out for the avian residents.
He's very affectionate, likes to both sit in my lap and will climb up on my shoulder to watch behind me.

Hey Winston, quite the story about Timeshare Kitty. Thanks for sharing this story.

This is Happy Go Lucky enjoying the sunshine and breeze on her way to her new home after we adopted her. She is a 4 y/o St. Bernard female. We got her to fill ( the late and sorely missed) Guinevere’s slot on the roster.
In the 3d photo she is settling in to her new home. She already likes to chase the geese off the dock. -Le Garde Vieux

Beautiful puppeh Mr. Vieux. My guess is that Happy Go Lucky doesn't catch too many geese. Appreciate your sending this in.

This is of "Samantha Spy of Woodstock Drive", or just Sam for short. Picked her up as a pup, and was with our family through two kids, successful cancer diagnoses and treatments of both my wife and I, and many, many swims. She went to doggy heaven just shy of her 16th birthday, pretty long for a lab. She tried so hard to figure out what you wanted her to do. She never begged, except when she heard the spoon hit the bottom of my ice cream bowl. Then it was target lock. We still miss her, after almost ten years.

She was looking at the green tennis ball, just launched and in the water. She had not been given the command to become a fur missile...

Regards from a long time follower, Don

Theologians say dogs don't have souls. Than why is it that so many of them seem to be soul mates? Great photo Don and thanks for following the Pet Thread.
