CNN's April D. Ryan, Fake News Addict
We need an intervention.
A lot of the media does.
American Urban Radio Networks White House correspondent April Ryan, who is also a CNN political analyst, embarrassed herself on Twitter today, falsely tweeting that President Trump was "heckled and booed" during a White House event.
The president on Tuesday replaced the Philadelphia Eagles' planned visit to the White House with a "Celebration of America" event featuring the U.S. Marine Band and the U.S. Army Chorus.
After they performed “God Bless America” and “The Star-Spangled Banner,” the president stepped up to the podium to deliver some remarks.
In a now-deleted tweet, Ryan said:
Breaking: Reporters on the South Lawn have confirmed the @realDonaldTrump was heckled and booed when he came out to celebrate America.
-- AprilDRyan (@AprilDRyan) June 5, 2018
But nothing of the sort had been "confirmed." In her rush to report something that would reflect badly on Trump, Ryan had stepped on a fake news rake.
What the videotape makes absolutely clear is that, yes, Trump was indeed heckled by some lefty nutjob at the event, but the patriotic crowd had booed the heckler.
"Stop hiding behind the armed services and the National Anthem!" the heckler bellowed, while surprised members of the audience looked around and lustily booed.
"Thank you very much, everybody," Trump said. "Appreciate it."

They're unprofessional to the point of caricature. Yet they insist we believe their stupid, partisan lies as if they are the Words of God Himself.
Here's an idea: We'll maybe start believing when you stop lying all the fucking time.
Excuses, Excuses: I did a bunch of posts to take most of Friday off. I had to do other work on Friday, clearing a lot of old crap out of basement.
Anyway, I had all these posts ready for Friday and then forgot to post them.
So you're gonna see some older news today.
I'm kind of beat from the work I did on Friday. There were a lot of trips up a very steep set of stairs carrying weight. I've been having cramps in muscles that never cramped before. Right lower abdominal, for example, in front of the hip.
Bear with me. I'm feeling each one of my almost 29 years of age.
