The Morning Report 5/23/18

bestworst.jpg

Good morning kids. Midweek and as I was aggravating the links for you all, a theme emerged, and that is "the best of times, the worst of times," which all things considered could be construed as "interesting times" per the old Chinese proverb. We are seeing the truly evil machinations of the Deep State revealed day by day as the details of the plot to take out the President, spawned from the plot to install Hillary president come out. We are seeing the Democrat-Leftist-Media-Academia complex become more strident, vocal and even violent as their thousand-year reichhhhhhh-uh is dismantled bit by bit in front of their eyes. And despite the feckless backstabbing and betrayal by the GOP, the process and even machinery of "fundamental transformation" of America as founded has slowed and perhaps even ground to a halt (we haven't quite got to the point of throwing it in reverse - yet).

So while the Constitution still hangs in the balance courtesy of the bureaucracy, the courts and the politicians of the Uniparty, there are some very encouraging headlines that should give you a bit of a boost. And all of this because of Donald Trump and more crucially, because a significant portion of the citizenry, despite the propaganda and indoctrination were still able to understand that the trajectory of the nation punctuated and underscored by life in America from 2009-2016 was terribly wrong.

Let's take a gander, shall we? First up, we now have e-mails confirming the conspiracy between the FBI, CIA and the media (in this case CNN) to lay the groundwork for releasing the fictional dossier to smear and bring down PDT. In the mix are a number of links laying it all out as well as a more sanguine piece about our nation, now imperiled.

To immigration where a fine, upstanding guy who happened to be an illegal alien, happened to be in MS-13 and happened to be nicknamed "Animal" just got 40 years for stabbing a teenager to death. Meanwhile, the crackdown on border jumping is a net win for women seeking construction jobs, the ICE Director totally pwn3d a Congressfool and yet another California municipality has said "no mas" to the state's sanctuary edict.

Yesterday was primary day in several states and while the GOP-e seemed to take it on the chin in a few key races, the Dems are going to be fielding hard left candidates such as this Stacey Abrams woman from Georgia. Meanwhile, as has been reported, the Democrat double digit generic advantage of six months ago is gone and the GOP is now up +6 IIRC, for what it's worth.

Meanwhile, PDT is taking an axe to Dodd-Frank, a veteran's choice healthcare bill was signed, household income hits an all-time high and people are crediting PDT for the economic boom. And yet, the Marxist in Seattle is calling for a boycott of businesses who are opposing the insane employee head tax. And to top it off, we had a big pro business/pro freedom win at SCOTUS courtesy of Justice Gorsuch. Elections matter.

Some sobering links in the Islam department via Pam Geller on the not-so-stealth Islamization of West Virginia's schools, the fifth anniversary of Lee Rigby's horrific murder in Englandistan, and the rise of the bollards (no, that one is still down for the count although she refuses to believe it).

Internationally, the NorK summit is now in doubt, SoS Pompeo seems to be hinting at regime change as the goal in Iran via tightening the economic screws and two interesting pieces about the threat from the Chi-Coms, both in their alliance with the Farsis an Pakis as well as the potential for actual war with them inside of two years. Hmm.

From hither and yon, the wonderful, famous tolerance of liberals was on full display as Tomi Lahren got a drink as well as vulgarities hurled at her and her mother as the two sat down for a brunch, Bernardo Sandersnista is a lying hypocrite (BIRM-BIRM), the real Russian infiltration is a classic one (the environmentalist movement to sabotage our fossil fuel production) and finally we have Mike Rowe trying to revive the American work ethic contrasted with parents who had to sue to evict their 30-year-old layabout son from their house. Isn't this really the story of Average Joe et al?

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.
