"White Adult Female in Head Scarf?"

Update: I've seen other eyewitness reports calling the shooter a he, but some are claiming the shooter is female.

I don't know if I buy that. Although anything can be faked on the internet, the claims that the shooter was male were at least traced back to a claimed source (witnesses supposedly discussing this in a chat room), whereas the people claiming the shooter was a female provided no sourcing at all for their claim.

I think the cops are just repeating these claims.

Also, whenever there is a shooting or terrorist act, jokers on the Internet claim it's the responsibility of a mostly-internet-based comic called Sam Hyde.

When the claims were going around that the shooter was female, they updated their usual prank to claim it was "Samanatha Hyde."

Note that that's a white adult woman (well, a dude made to look vaguely woman-ish) with a dark top and head scarf.

I think this is all just the prank being taken seriously by the media and/or their police sources.
