The Morning Report 3/9/18

realdeal.jpg

Good morning kids. The weekend is here and of course the big story is North Korean leader Whoa, Fat's! invitation to President Trump for a summit, and the former's stated willingness to dismantle his nuclear weapons program. Let's break this down into several components. First of all, from a domestic political angle, this announcement alone is a huge win for the President and a complete repudiation of the Democrat-Media complex's myth that PDT's crazy "rocket man" talk would start World War 3. Evidently it hasn't. Even the likes of Erin Burnett and Chris Matthews were awed by the potential this holds for PDT's legacy should he make a verifiable deal that denuclearizes the Korean peninsula.

From a strategic standpoint, there are two scenarios that are going on here. Either President Trump's rhetoric combined with his diplomatic and military moves both public and behind the scenes have in fact scared the crap out of Kim, or starting with his dragon lady sister's phony charm offensive at the Olympics, Kim is once again pulling a fast one on us in order to extort more money, food, Daffy Duck DVDs and brandy out of us. If we assume the latter, there is one yuuuuge difference this time - they are dealing with an American president unlike the previous three or four. Certainly unlike the Democrat ones who are chiefly responsible for allowing this problem to fester (that does not excuse the Bush's by the way). Some of our commenters have even postulated that the President's attitude towards the rapid acceleration of the Chi-Com threat, as well as the steel and aluminum tariffs, might also be a contributing factor in Kim's move, since China is probably the only thing propping them up.

Whatever is going on, it would behoove PDT to proceed with extreme caution. Some have stated that it would be a mistake to even meet with Kim in the first place. Considering that their words, assurances and guarantees are about as bankable as an Obama jump-shot, that would be my reaction as well. But, as with everything we have seen so far with this President, I have a feeling he knows this, and can use this to his political advantage as well as more importantly to keep our nation safe. No matter what, I also hope the President does not forget about several Americans still held hostage over there that might face the same fate as Otto Warmbier. I also hope he demands their immediate release as well as the return of the USS Pueblo. By the way, in the hostage photo of the crew, they're all giving the middle finger to the camera. And the NorKs were not happy when they found out about it. Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, our Super Secret Sleeper AG Lemmon 714 is making headlines as well. Aside from the blood-libels and smears hurled at him from the seditionists and criminals in California about his deployment of ICE agents to do their duty there, evidently while out for a moonlight sleepwalk, Jeff Sessions actually appointed a special prosecutor to investigate criminality and corruption at the DoJ months ago and might be poised to appoint another one. Hmm.

Shifting to Amnesty, the Senate seems set to break the Democrat filibuster and just ram through the confirmation of the long-stonewalled candidate Kevin McAleenan to head the US Customs and Border Protection agency. ICE's acting head blasted Kamala-Toe and Feinswein for their cluelessness and evasiveness and, very much related to immigration, an Alabama man has plead guilty to terrorism charges for attempting to help ISIS blow up police and military installations here. And judging by his name, I don't think he's a Quaker.

Speaking of terrorism, Jim "father of Rump-Roast" Clyburn who is the third highest ranking Democrat in the House not only met with Louis Farrakhan but he's proud about it and refuses to denounce him. That said, Danny Davis, the Congressman from Chicago whose initial refusal to denounce his thinly-disguised friendship with the Joo-hating demagogue has now come with an apology and a renunciation of that relationship. Gee, maybe even eight months from the midterms this, and the Women's March leaders hypocrisy, might present less than optimal optics for the Democrats.

Speaking of politics, it seems that an overwhelming majority of Americans are on board with PDT's tariffs and America-first economic policies. At the same time, the GOP is - surprise - lying to us by continuing to prop up Obamacare as well as preserving the equally disastrous, yet less publicized, Dodd-Frank private sector hijack bill. Fvck the GOP. It really needs to be destroyed.

On the cultural front, in the wake of International Women's Day, some sobering links to the hideous legacy of that event, and finally, Rachel Dolezal Shirley Jism has been picked up by Netflix to host some sort of magic show. Wonder if the Pillsbury Homeboy will make a guest appearance. Feh.

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.
