The Morning Report 2/23/18

Good morning kids. Thank goodness the weekend is here and along with the shameless politicization of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS comes the revelation that the school's armed resource officer, Scot Peterson, whose job it is to defend the students and teachers from what happened nine days ago waited outside the school for a full six minutes as the gunman went on his rampage. Is it too soon to call him "the Broward Coward" and "Sheriff Quick-Withdraw?" I'm not so sure, given the fact that there are many instances of bravery by armed security officers and others who are trained for these situations responding accordingly. The sergeant-at-arms of the Canadian Parliament confronting and dispatching an armed Islamist gunman a few years back immediately comes to mind, let alone the unarmed 88-year-old Brit we discussed last night.

Of course, the left will use this individual's failure as evidence against arming some teachers and increasing armed security at schools. Quite the contrary; it shows not only that armed security is needed but it exposes serious failings by law enforcement and other agencies that hired and trained this guard and that a major examination and overhaul of how we hire and screen these people is urgently needed.

On the political front, it is painfully obvious that CNN used the students who witnessed the killing as props in what amounted to a staged public execution of the NRA and GOP politicians. Colton Haab, the heroic ROTC student, stands by his claim that CNN gave him a scripted question and identifies Fake Jake Flapper-Tapper's producer, one Carrie Stevenson, as the person in question. CNN continues to deny this and claims that Haab wanted to use his time to give a speech and was refused. All things considered, I tend to believe Haab since, after all, "this is CNN."

Any decent human being would know to leave the children alone. They're in shock and grieving. Not the Democrat-Media complex. Not content to kill innocent babies in the womb, nor waste the lives of scores of inner-city youths year after year, decade after decade, here we have them pulling shattered souls and psyches almost directly out of a bloodbath and using them as figurative kamikaze pilots as a way for us to surrender our G-d given right to self defense from a tyranny they feel is within their reach. There is a special place in Hell for people who do this. That said, some of these kids, specifically the ones we're now seeing all over the Media in attack mode are starting to get on my nerves. And I'm at the point where I'm ready to take the gloves off and do a little digging to see exactly what the story is with them. Frankly, their motivations vis a vis what they're saying stink to high Heaven.

On a positive political note, I sense the Democrats are going to use this once again as a major campaign issue going into 2018. I hope so, because it is always a loser for them and especially now with the President shifting the narrative away from guns and to the immediate need for armed defense at soft targets like schools an then the broader issue of mental health and what is driving these perps to do what they do. Quick answer: 60 years of Leftist social engineering that has ravaged our society like the clap in Idi Amin's brain.

On the Amnesty/Immigration front, VP Pence got a standing ovation at CPAC for his unequivocal call for the border wall, as enforcement seems to be working in places like Boston and elsewhere. That said, convicted felon and Nazi collaborator George Soros is buying a DA seat in Texas which has obvious ramifications for immigration enforcement in a state that is a geographic and political firewall for the republic. That momzer needs to be taken down, like, yesterday and his assets seized so his spawn can't continue the project. Super secret AG Lemmon 714? Hello?

Moving along, on the Insurrection front, Mueller has handed down fresh indictments against Manafort and Gates that have absolutely nothing to do with the President or his actions during the campaign, while a McCain flunky is pleading the fifth over the dossier. Surprise, surprise. Not.

Some big breaking political stories, Missouri governor Eric Greitens has been indicted on felony charges along with the mayor of Nashville for improper use of public funds to cover an illicit affair.
