The Morning Report 1/1/18

Good morning kids. A happy and healthy new year to you all. As you might recall, my "kinna-hurra" ("no evil eye" in Yiddish) that nothing major was going to happen to close out the year came to naught; in the lead and making up the bulk of our links is the developing situation in Iran. The latest is that two protestors have been shot and killed by regime security forces. I'm sure updates will be happening as the day progresses, but certainly not from the Media/Leftist/Democrat complex; that is unless they can invent an angle that blames Trump and/or praises Obama.

The other links are pretty much an analysis and reaction to what is going on. Once again, the President is demonstrating clear leadership with his loud and unequivocal support of the protestors, while incredibly Obama's flunkies are whoring before the cameras to try and support the mullahs. It's a combination attempt to salvage any credibility to their foreign policy legacy, hatred of America (which drove that policy) and hatred of President Trump. After quite a bit of back and forth about the situation with the Cobs as well as the Horde the last few days, I've now come to agree with the nub of Robert Spencer's essay; what we are witnessing in large part if not caused by has been fueled by the presence of PDT in the Oval Office.

Meanwhile, the Pussy-Hat brigade of almost one year ago is nowhere to be found as women are being arrested, beaten and raped. The iconic image so far is one brave woman standing on top of a car with her head uncovered, defiantly waving her scarf for all to see - unlike say Pelosi or Hillary who couldn't wait to cover their heads before kissing the rings of these medieval barbarian throwbacks.

The question now is what happens next and what more can the President do to help topple the regime? This too was actively discussed over the past few days. Virtually all of the billions in cash sent over there by Obama has gone to not only fuel their nuke program and global terrorism, but directly into the pockets of a kleptocracy headed by the mullahs, generals and officer corps. Hence the protests, which are not only about the miserable quality of life but equally about the oppressive Islamic laws.

I would hope that we are ramping up covert ops as I assume that Israel along with the KSA/GCC are involved in right now. If the protests escalate, then we too should consider escalating our response, especially if the regime's hold on power starts slipping. What that would look like is up for debate. Naval blockade of the Gulf? Freezing/seizure of all Iranian assets? Arming of protestors? Discuss.

My other concern is considering the abject corruption vis a vis PDT at the highest level of our intel community, and that Obama and the Farsi Ferret Jarret are only a mile or so down the road in the Kalorama Kaliphate Kompound, how can we be sure that an acolyte of say Brennan or Clapper won't be leaking our plans in that direction or even directly to Tehran?
