CNN Boycotting White House Christmas Party Because the White House Threatens Press Freedoms or Something

Think of all the poems Jim Acosta would have read off his phone.

“CNN will not be attending this year’s White House Christmas party,” a CNN spokesperson told Politico. "In light of the president’s continued attacks on freedom of the press and CNN, we do not feel it is appropriate to celebrate with him as his invited guests. We will send a White House reporting team to the event, and report on it if news warrants."

News of CNN's plans to boycott the event was greeted positively by White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders. "Christmas comes early," she tweeted. "Finally good news from @CNN."

BTW, PJ Media's Morning Briefing reminds us that CNN did not skip the WH Christmas party under Obama for similar threat-to-the-press reasons, despite Obama having done more to threaten the press than calling them #FakeNews.

Remember when the DOJ claimed Fox News' James Rosen was a "criminal co-conspirator" so they could access his (and his parents'!) digital communications? Or when the Obama administration subpoenaed phone records for 20 AP reporters? Where was CNN's righteous indignation over freedom of the press when that happened?

Alleged "reporter" April D. Ryan, who recently called Sarah Huckabee Sanders a liar over a pecan pie, whines like a bitch that she isn't invited.
