The Morning Rant: J.V. Edition
I heard from OregonMuse's son, who tells me that his dad's shoulder surgery went well, and he is out of the hospital and in rehab for intensive physical therapy before they send him home. As many of you know, that rehab is unpleasant and can take awhile, so be patient (Gorilla Pundit will be back!) and please keep OregonMuse in your thoughts and prayers.
If your leaders are too far away for you to fling poo at them, they are too far away to take you seriously.

Let's see, an experiment in socialized commerce didn't work out.
Roxbury’s Dudley Dough, a fair-wage pizza shop, to close its doors. I am sure that it's because it just wasn't tried with enough verve and vim and vigor, because the underlying concept is sound...right?
“I don’t think anyone is looking at it as a failure,” said Luther Pinckney, a team leader at Dudley Dough, which is in the Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building. “It’s an experiment, and some very good things came out of that, such as skill-building for staff and being in this building at this time of gentrification and change in this community.”
Gee, businesses that fail are called...wait for it...FAILURES! Maybe if the non-profit that ran the place understood what drives successful businesses, mainly; PROFIT, they would have been more aware of those pesky details like paying too much for labor and not charging enough for output.
But next time? Next time will be great! Really!
Read the article...it is an incredible mass of rationalization and careful avoidance of the real reason this place is closing. I knew The Boston Globe was a typical leftist paper, but this is pathetic.

Guess what Youtube did with this video? It's available now, but they restricted access for awhile because they are fascists and don't like dissenting views. You are welcome to refute my statement....I'll wait.
Paul Joseph Watson is clearly a nutter. But in between his conspiracy theories is some very funny and perceptive stuff.
