The Morning Report 9/25/17

Good morning kids. The end of a fantastic weekend of Indian summer or native American climactic shift. Let's dive right in. In the lead is the disgusting, puerile and completely tone-deaf display put on by professional football players and sadly endorsed by the NFL itself. And it's even been reported at pee-wee football events. Way to set an example, fellas. All of it is based on the outright myths and distortions propagated in the media and in the schools about America as irredeemably racist. While Barack Obama is not the source of this poison, he was the spigot from whence it flowed almost from the moment he took his oath of office. Remember Reverend Joseph Lowery's infantile poem hoping for a day when "the white will be alright?" What's galling, and what is always galling is the hypocrisy. I assume the NFL still penalizes players for end zone dancing and the horrible sin of kneeling in prayer to give thanks to G-d? And yet, Kaepernick. Personally, I have not been an avid follower of pro sports for a number of years now, and I had bemoaned the Left's war on the sport (via concussion hysteria) because of its traditional American values. But if the NFL wants to turn on the gas and stick its head in the oven, then the sooner it dies, the better. And that goes for baseball as well and every other sport. If these institutions have terminal cancer, better we are rid of them and preserve whatever other redoubts of Americanism that are remaining and stem the spread of the disease.

In other news, even as opposition mounts, McCriminal still wants to bring the Graham-Cassidy Obamacare Repair and Relabel bill to a floor vote. Meh, he's a Leviathan preservationist. He just wants to stage a public execution so that he can warble about how he tried his hardest but just couldn't do it because of the conservatives, or whomever. McStain will never be blamed, of course. Frankly, on the one hand, the bill is problematic; hell, anything that Lindsay Graham supports has got to be horrendous. But that said, Obamacare will collapse and the cry will go up from far and near for the Government to rescue us and take over healthcare. That was always the plan, but it was anticipated that a Democrat would be in the Oval Office to deliver the coup de grace. But we have PDT and so the plot thickens. We shall see.
