The Morning Report 9/1/17

Good morning kids. Friday and the beginning of a new month. Allergy attack kept me up in the wee small hours so this will be short and sweet, for the most part. First up, as the Gulf region begins the long and painful task of repair and recovery from Harvey, a new hurricane, Irma, may threaten the Carolinas with another category 4 catastrophe. Let's hope it stays out to sea, since it's not like we can control the weather, right Michael Mann?

In other news, well, well well! Look what the Menendez probe dug up. For those unaware because the media have all but blacked it out, this guy, Bob Menendez? He's a senator, a DEMOCRAT senator? From New Jersey? Well, for some reason, he's under some sort of investigation? For corruption? And it seems that the investigation is now looking very seriously at some other guy. You might have heard of him. Harry Reid. Meh, the Deep State will protect its own because a) Menendez knows where the bodies are buried (and that is not just an expression in his case) and b) they protect their own unless absolutely necessary. Oh well, nice to dream, no?

Also domestically, the PDT tax plan might include one major pillar: that is the allowance for corporations to repatriate trillions of dollars held offshore (actually in long term T-bills per the story) at a reduced rate. Hey, I'm no special pleader for corporate America, since too many are crony fascists in bed with the Leviathan, but all that capital pumped into the economy-- and it's real money, not just borrowed by Uncle Sugar-- will lead to a boom that could last for decades. I personally think it should be as close to 0% as possible, but so long as it's kept low and not bargained away (as I fear the sausage-making process will do) then I can live with it.

Good news: A judge has now ordered the FBI to turn over its files in the Clinton e-mail investigation, slapping down the lame excuse that the public wouldn't be interested in it.

Bad news: David Daleiden, the brave actual investigative reporter who exposed Planned Parenthood's organ harvesting scheme was slapped with a $200,000 fine.

Insane news: At Ole Miss, a student coordinator forced the cancellation of a Greek Life event because she witnessed a horrible crime: someone left a banana peel in a tree. If that does not tell you that the academic/cultural/media/government complex have now thoroughly destroyed the minds of America's youth (for at least 30-40 years now), then you are not paying attention. Pro Tip to the young moron who reported this ghastly deed: sometimes, hell EVERY TIME, a banana peel is just a banana peel. Maybe if you didn't believe the hype that you are a victim of racial oppression in the gulag of Amerikkka, you wouldn't think someone is equating you with a tree-dwelling chimpanzee. Here's a hint; the people that put that thought in your head are those who actually do think it. Namely Democrats and Leftists. Wake the f**k up and fight the power. The real power.
