I didn't cover the big stories today because they bore me.
I don't care about the FakeNews Russia non-story, and I think the Tomi Lahren story is a contrived bit of outrage against someone people were already annoyed with for being a pretty contrived media concoction herself.
All I know is that whatever side Glenn Beck is on, I'm on the other side.
I did really like this Byron York story about how the cherished media myth that Trump re-wrote the Republican Party platform to be softer on Russia and its invasion of the Ukraine is a complete fiction.
Oh and last week's Meals on Wheels one-day Tweetstorm turns out to be a lie, and the latest attempted hit on Neil Gorsuch turns out to be bullshit too.
I didn't know that -- I've heard My Media Betters repeat this lie so often I just assumed it was true.
Not consciously assumed -- conscious assumptions can always be analyzed. It's the unconscious assumptions that never get analyzed, because you don't even realize you've assumed them.
And that's what the media's good at -- just repeating lies enough times that your brain accepts them without even really having engaged with them or investigated the claims.
