NYT Only Begins Reporting on Jewish Cemetery Desecrations After Trump's Election; Paper Has Long History of Ignoring Such Events, or Minimizing Them as Inconsequential
Pretty amazing find by Ira Stoll -- there have been ten major Jewish cemetery desecrations since January 2008. The NYT covered exactly two of them, and one of those was outside the US. In both cases they bothered to mention the issue at all, they minimized the events as minor.
But now after Trump's election, it's all they can talk about, and they're sending reporters and photographers to cemeteries each time there's an incident.
I guess "The truth is now more important than ever," whereas before, especially during the Obama years, it didn't matter so much.
