The Morning Report 2/16/17

Good morning, kids. Well, with the departure of Flynn and the withdrawal of Puzder from consideration as Labor Secretary, the Deep State Left smells blood in the water. That said, the only things that can derail Trump politically are Trump himself and the GOP-e. Alarmingly, an existential threat is now evident within the intelligence gathering community, many installed by Obama in the last eight years and sadly quite a few that predate that lost decade. They are out to sabotage Trump whether at the behest of Obama, Soros or ideological reasons that need no outside encouragement. This has to be dealt with. Swiftly and decisively. How one essentially purges dozens, if not hundreds of operatives, analysts and bureaucrats without endangering national security is the issue. But is leaving them in place a more dangerous gambit? I bet the latter. At any rate, PDT traveling to Florida for a public rally can't be seen as anything but very heartening. This is what he does best; rally the troops. He knows that his biggest and most loyal ally is the people who put their trust in him. It's probably all he has. The question is will it be enough? I pray it is. Have a better one and remain blessed.

UPDATE from Vic's Wife:

Good morning to all. Just talked with Vic, I will be springing him from the hospital today. Before I do that, I'm going to take the guided tour that Blaster so kindly arranged with his generous tour guide friend.

We've decided we'll stay in Charleston tonight before heading back home. Maybe Vic will feel like getting on the laptop and checking in with all of you. Alert: this laptop is old and slow, so it will take longer for any response (and Vic's aggravation level will probably be sky-high).

I want to give all of you a tremendously big and heart-felt thank you for encouraging him to have this surgery.
