NYT Reporter Jacob Bernstein -- Son of Carl -- Apologizes For Having Called the First Lady a "Hooker"
Drudge links this story with the headline "Everything is copy," which I think is a good point.
I don't like the fact that this militant (but hot) little Social Justice Warrior took immediately to Twitter to stir up a scalp-hunting mob over a comment which, while nasty, was made privately.
But this is now a thing people believe: That anything people say to them in private conversations is now "content" for their fucking twitter feeds.
It's part of why I don't hang out with bloggers or anyone with a Twitter account -- I really don't feel like explaining that I am out to be a private person talking with people, not a subject of someone's Twitter Journalism.
If someone wants an interview for publication, they should ask me. Not meet me under circumstances which used to be regarded as obviously private but decide their Follow List really needs some good updates.
The only times I will go out is when everyone understands that everything, everything is officially off the record. I feel fucking violated even having to specify that.
If I wanted to be a subject of a story, I'd email a podcaster and offer myself up as an interview, for crying out loud.
It's like everyone has decided the highest calling in life is to be a snitch, narc, or informant.
Anyway, as I said, I'm not a fan of how this militant little SJW went all Call-Out Culture without warning the person she was talking to that his words were on the record (if you're going to be a "Citizen Journalist," that means you have abide by the rules of journalism, you know), but I can't complain that the ringleaders of this movement -- the fucking nasty media -- are being hoist by their own retards.
