The Morning Report 2/13/17
Good morning, kids. First and foremost, prayers for those who are in the path of the Oroville Dam and a potential catastrophe if, G-d forbid, it breaks. Sadly, any malfeasance surrounding the dam's maintenance or lack thereof (Chocolate City anyone?) would be the perfect symbol of the depths to which the formerly great state of California has sunk. And that segues nicely into the piece about how the time may be right for statehood for the northern part of CA. In other news, we have a mixed bag of links, and we note with sorrow the passing of Edward Tipper, a veteran of Easy Company, 101st Airborne, better known as the Band of Brothers. A life well lived, a debt we can never repay, and a heartfelt thank you. RIP. Have a better one and remain blessed.
UPDATE: No news about Vic this morning, but as of yesterday his family reported that his surgery went well and that he was sitting up in a chair.
