Two photos of Poochie, here is the story told by our lurker friend, AbbyNormal.
I am mostly a lurker under the name AbbyNormal. I love AOS and read it everyday. I come for the commentary and stay for the comments.
This is my rescue cat Poochie. He showed up in my backyard when he was still a very young cat, scrounging for food. It was obvious he had never interacted with people, so it took me two weeks of leaving food out for him before I could touch his back with my fingertip. Of course, it helped I already had another rescue cat, Charlie, whom I fed in the backyard too, trying to lure Poochie in.
The first picture is of Poochie over a year later, using the pool cover as a trampoline. He bounces on it and makes the acorns jump so he can chase them around. The second picture shows him on the roof of the house. He is still my wild child but now he is as spoiled as the other one.
The Pet Thread title is Kitten Watching Pin-Head. The photo was sent in by Robert. Here is note with the photo.
The picture of Russ’ buddy Kismet brought back fond memories of GiGi, my late departed friend for seven short years. She did like to watch TV as a kitten, but lost interest as she grew up.
This is Nemo. Sgt Mom submitted this photo along with some other dandies. This one is quite cute. Hopefully our former TFG won't be hungry for it. (OK cheap political shot. No more.)
Our first doggeh of the day. C'mon dog owners. Do Cats Rule and Dogs Drool?
Because the cat isn't nearly as photogenic. My dog Toblerone, a Chocolate Lab, post-surgery to remove lipomas, doing a heck of a job sporting the tie-dye.
From "Lee Also," long-time lurker, occasional commenter. Love AoS and read EVERY day!!!
Thanks Lee Also, appreciate the kind words and the photo!
OK. The pressure is on your humble Cob. I hope I picked out the right photos. Here is a little info on these photos from Lurker Sally.
I know these are way too many pics of our stunning cat Xavier. I'm a lurker, no creative handle. But love the site and always take time to enjoy the pet thread and your thoughtful comments. I always wondered at folks who sent in pics and then said the pet was no longer with us. But now I know how that happens. You love your pets as part of your day to day life, but when they pass you want to share. X had personality for 2 cats. Great tabby markings and extra long legs. We adopted him as a kitten and we had a small house. We live outside of Portland Oregon but I'm from Cincinnati. We had a Xavier University shot glass which became his first water glass and his name. We lived in an old craftsman style bungalow with a slightly shredded screen door. He pushed his little head again it and broke out. From then on when we had the door open he would jump through the hole in the screen door to get in and out. He would jump in at a run and stop as if to say "ta da, I'm here!" Xavier left us due to kidney failure just after Thanksgiving. I know you will pick and edit well. Nothing like a cat in the sun, sunspot, in front of the fire or in a box! I don't know how you will pick!
Last but not least a trifecta of pets. PaleRider submitted this photo. Here is the story behind it.
A cute picture of the "high strung" Arabian Shade, Sven the cat and Ole the dog, cat and dog named from Sven and Ole jokes.
Sven and Ole have crossed the rainbow bridge. Shade is enjoying retired life.
Thank you for the pet photo submissions. A fine group of "critters". Do you have a funny video, animal story or a photo you would like to share? If you do, please submit them to petmorons at gmail.
