Obama's Hatred Of The West Continues Apace: He Just Stabbed In The Back Our Only Ally In The Middle East

[Ace beat me to the punch, but here is my tardy version of the news...]

The mealy-mouthed evasions of what this means spewing from Samantha Power's mouth mean nothing. Obama allows United Nations to condemn Israeli settlements, and with that he has emboldened renewed attacks on Israelis, Jews throughout the world, and given tacit support to Iran's explicit policy aiming for the destruction of the state of Israel.

By lending support to the notion that Israelis are living in the land of Israel contrary to International law, he emboldens the Palestinians to increase the frequency and intensity of their attacks on Israelis. Obama is now directly responsible for any deaths that occur because of his cowardly, anti-Semitic, anti-Western decision.

House Speaker Paul Ryan called Obama's decision "absolutely shameful" in a statement released after the vote. "Today's vote is a blow to peace that sets a dangerous precedent for further diplomatic efforts to isolate and demonize Israel," Ryan said. "Our unified Republican government will work to reverse the damage done by this administration, and rebuild our alliance with Israel."

Israeli officials accused Obama of overseeing an "abandonment of Israel" in his final days. "The U.S administration secretly cooked up with the Palestinians an extreme anti-Israeli resolution behind Israel's back which would be a tail wind for terror and boycotts and effectively make the Western Wall occupied Palestinian territory," one official told the Associated Press.

From a historical point of view, the Palestinians claim that they lived here for generations and European Jews came and displaced them. But in fact all but a few 'Palestinians' are descended from Arabs who migrated to the area for economic reasons after the advent of Zionism, and even fewer arrived before the invasion by Muhammad Ali in the 1830s. The Jewish connection to the land doesn't need further explication. Judea and Samaria, in fact, represent the biblical heartland of the Jewish people, where its history took place and where its holy places are located. If there is any part of the land of Israel that should belong to the Jewish people, it is Judea (including Jerusalem) and Samaria.
