Obama: I Really Worked Hard to Get Elected. In Between Golf and Bono. Too Bad Hillary Wasn't as Hard a Worker as I Totally Was.

More: Hillary popped champagne last Tuesday night in anticipation of her coming sweet sweet victory.

I'm not a terribly superstitious person, but when people suggested I take a drink early in the night, I refused, based on my superstition about drinking to a victory before the victory is secured. I've seen it happen. Not that I think the drink caused it, but I know the people who drank early then blamed themselves for having jinxed things and ruined everything.

I don't believe in jinxes, but I do believe in my own capacity to believe in jinxes.

And maybe I do believe in jinxes, anyway.

I took my victory drink Friday after the election, and I'm still worried I took it too early.
