Mark Levin Goes Right the Hell Off on Megyn Kelly

He offered this rant Thursday, I think, and I meant to post it, but I ran out of week. There was some news that broke on Friday that wound up pushing this story off the radar.

It's pretty special.

He also says that with Roger Ailes out at Fox, control over the network has devolved to Murdoch's two sons -- who Levin says are both liberals, and of course, therefore, huge fans of Megyn Kelly.

"I think it is fair to say the Fox News Channel is imploding," Levin said. "I think it is fair to say the Murdoch boys, both of whom are liberals are slowly but surely ruining that network, not that I’m a Roger Ailes fan. I’m just saying it is quite obvious. Their top star is Megyn Kelly. Megyn Kelly is out of control. Megyn Kelly pretends to represent women. I want you all to go listen to her 2010 interview on ‘The Howard Stern Show.’"

"At the beginning of the Republican primary, she set a fuse," he continued. "She was so obsessed with Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump and things that were said back and forth, she set the stage for what became month after month of vicious personal, nasty attacks. And she’s doing it again."

"So she’s not some leader of some feminist movement,” he said. “She’s hardly in a position to be representing anybody."

He also said something I thought was pretty key: Asking if she was a real journalist rhetorically, he answered: "I don't think so. She's full of drama. Attention-getting. It's all about her."

This is how Megyn Kelly has struck me for some time. I was personally embarrassed when this Allegedly Empowered Woman summoned her would-be male defenders -- Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity -- to defend her against Trump's counter-attacks against her (and yes, she attacked first -- why journalists believe that they are free to make attacks on people without those targets having the right to attack back is quite beyond me).

Half of this cycle has been the Megyn Kelly Show -- and I don't mean her actual tv program, I mean the spectacle of watching the Dramatic Dramas of Megyn Kelly. It's nothing but outrages and snits and crying jags with this Allegedly Empowered Woman.

As I've joked before, I can't wait until I see Megyn Kelly interview an Iraq War veteran who's lost his arm in combat, telling him: "I know exactly what you're going through. One time, Trump tweeted at me."

By the way, just a few weeks ago Judge Napolitano and Megyn Kelly "shredded" Trump's attacks on Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton. Megyn Kelly stated there was no proof for any of it, including Hillary's putative role in smearing the women. Note she takes an entirely different position as regards the allegations against Trump.

Also, note this claim about Bill Clinton paying off Paula Jones.

Conway, on CNN Tuesday night, suggested that Bill Clinton's $850,000 settlement with accuser Paula Jones proved he was guilty, but Kelly disagreed. "The Paula Jones settlement sounds to me like a nuisance value settlement," she said. Most of the settlement was legal fees and Clinton did not pay any of it himself, she added. "That's what you do to get rid of these matters when you're somebody like the president of the United States."

Does anyone doubt that if Trump had similarly paid nearly a million dollars to settle one of these old allegations against him, MeAgain would have taken that as proof positive of his guilt?

Megyn Kelly then went on to claim that Hillary hadn't gone after any of Clinton's accusers:

"Where I get held up as a lawyer — you tell me — is that people want to condemn Hillary with not believing them and with, you know, trying to silence them and get rid of them, get them out of the public picture," Kelly said, referring to Bill Clinton's accusers, "but there was no proof when she was going after them."

Megyn Kelly's position on whether proof is needed to carry forward a charge, and as to whether a long delay in making an allegation undermines it, shifts according to whether she's Defending Her Sisterkin Hillary or attacking the Male Patriarchy as embodied by Trump.

That is bias, straight-up and inarguable.
