Open Thread

I'm having fairly serious computer issues. My computer is slow, and my Chrome tabs take up to three or four minutes to upload. I don't know if the problem is my computer or Chrome.

Several questions:

1. Anyone have a fix for Chrome slow-loading, if it's Chrome? Anyone else having this problem?

2. Anyone having these issues since Windows 10's latest update? Any idea how to fix, if that's the problem? Does it go away? Do I have to change some setting in memory or something? Clear a cache?

3. Anyone have a recommendation for another computer? I can go Apple or Windows. (Don't suggest Linux; I'm not a hobbyist and not at all interested in having to do my own set-up type stuff on a computer.) Also, is there some Hot New Laptop coming out in the near future so that I might want to limp along with this piece of shit until the new one is released?
