Ooof: Trump Up by Eight In Iowa
Uh-Oh: Trump Closing on Madame Fallsalot In Michigan
On the downside, he's only up by seven in Texas -- Texas! -- but a win in Texas by seven points gets you just as many EVs as a win in Texas by 14.
I'm going to focus on the Iowa thing.
Hillary's poll numbers need a shot of B12, as needed.
PS: I'm back from errands -- but I have stuff I have to do later, too.
I'm giving myself permission to Blog Like Crap today. That makes today a special day.
But then I choose to view every day as special.
Let's face it, my presence here is as crucial to this blog's operation as Brian Williams' presence is crucial to All The Things That Happened in History.
To be honest with you, the realization "Oh, I really don't matter, if I'm not here, people will just comment as usual, and the cobs will put up stuff too," is both liberating and also deflating.
However, though I am both lazy and vain, I am more lazy than vain, so "I really don't matter at all" winds up landing on the positive side of things for me.
Michigan: Hillary's collapsing. Well you knew that already.
But her poll numbers are also down.
A month after it appeared the race for president in Michigan might be all but over, Donald Trump has cut deeply into Hillary Clinton’s post-convention lead, with an exclusive new Free Press/WXYZ-TV poll showing the Republican nominee has moved closer to tying the Democratic front-runner in a state that hasn't backed a Republican nominee since 1988.
Clinton, whose lead in some national and battleground state polls also has disappeared lately after building big margins in the wake of a successful convention this summer in Philadelphia, still leads Trump 38%-35% in Michigan, according to the poll done by Lansing-based EPIC-MRA for the Free Press, WXYZ-TV and their outstate partners. But that is within the poll's 4-percentage-point margin of error, and a significant drop from her 11-point lead last month.
