At Least Three People, Including Two Bailiffs, Murdered at Shootout at Michigan Courthouse
Update: Inmate Grabbed Gun From Deputy
Berrien County borders on Indiana.
The shooter is now also dead.
We'll wait to see if the media reports on the suspect's identity, or conceals it. (Not that I know anything about the suspect -- just that there are some killers the media rides like they're Seabiscuit, and other killers the media conceals for days.)
Two court bailiffs were killed and a police officer shot Monday inside a courthouse in southwestern Michigan, an employee at the county prosecutor's office told the Detroit Free Press.
Citing a source in the Berrien County prosecutor's office, the newspaper reported that three were killed, including the shooter. The gunfire erupted inside the Berrien County Courthouse in St. Joseph around 2:30 p.m., Fox 17 reported.
A post on the Berrien County Sheriff's Facebook page said one officer was shot in left arm and finger.
