Trump Orders Surrogates to Step Up Attacks on Judges, and to Call Reporters Racist

I don't have any particular problem with this, but you can see our Upper Middle Class Socially Liberal coterie squealing harder and harder about this.

An embattled Donald Trump urgently rallied his most visible supporters to defend his attacks on a federal judge's Mexican ancestry during a conference call on Monday in which he ordered them to question the judge's credibility and impugn reporters as racists. "We will overcome," Trump said, according to two supporters who were on the call and requested anonymity to share their notes with Bloomberg Politics. "And I’ve always won and I’m going to continue to win. And that’s the way it is."

I have never known the media to not note a jury was "all white" or "Mostly white" when it acquitted a George Zimmerman, thus signalling that they think that white people have certain biases, preferences, agendas, and political leanings.

I do not understand why this is so forbidden to say about other races -- unless the white race is uniquely monstrous and evil and is simply so foul that they cannot think or say things that others can.

And if that's the hidden premise: I need for it to no longer be hidden. I need for those who believe this premise to state it straight-up.

This is not to say Trump is right; in fact, I'm 99.99% sure that he's not only wrong, but that he knows he's wrong, and is just flinging poop as usual because he's an animal.

But I don't understand why this particular statement sends people shrieking.

There is not a single day of my life as a white man I am not invited to #CheckMyPrivilege -- my race-based assumptions.

Do some people wish to not admit that this is entirely an anti-white and racist game therefore only whites are the proper targets of this tactic?

Meanwhile, many of us are no longer satisfied with the two word answer as to why whites should be burdened by all these rules and speech codes that no one else in America is burdened with.

"Just because" is not an answer that sounds any better from Upper Middle Class Republican mouths than from liberal mouths, and people should try coming up with better explanations, or re-examine the nonsense they're claiming.

I have long suspected we might have a political re-alignment where the suburban upper-class contingent of the GOP simply emigrates to the Democrat party.

This seems to be happening with far greater speed than I imagined.

Class? It occurs to me that the difference between the jurors who are always tagged as "mostly white" when they reach a verdict the media doesn't approve of and this judge is that this judge is a member of the upper middle professional class, and a member of the politcal-governmental-managerial-media class.

The assumption here might be that while Joe Six Pack on the jury might have some race-based blind spots and racial chauvinisms, obviously, any college-educated member of the middle upper professional class will have been taught various Zen-like techniques of rising above mere ego and existence.

Thus this entire controversy could be permeated, as usual, by a certain class' Smug assumptions.

Just Go Already: I'm increasingly frantic with the GOP liberals who talk up this bullshit.

Trump did not just look at this judge for the first time and divine, "Ah-ha, he's Mexican, he must be biased against me."

Instead, he's been dealing with him for a year, and believes (probably wrongly, but who knows) the judge is biased against him. Trying to figure out why he's biased, he seizes upon the fact that he's of Mexican descent -- hardly a racist guess, given that the media itself tells us that Hispanics have a strongly disfavorable view of Trump -- something like 85% unfavorable to 10% favorable, with half of them viewing him "strongly" disfavorably.

When did stereotyping someone as "probably not a Trump fan" become a racial slur up there with thinking someone is lazy, stupid, etc.?

Trump cannot be a racist for believing what the media reports to him every single day.

Or, I guess, he can be.

The secret little rule is that you can take into account any distinctions between the races -- or the genders -- as long as you compare minorities and women favorably to men or whites. You can point out the difference between Hispanic and white attitudes -- but only if you're vaunting the need of a "wise Latina" on the court.

Were you to suggest that this "Wise Latina" might be limited of her ethnicity rather than enlightened by it, you immediately become racist.

Basically this continues to be part of the utterly indefensible style of racial politics in the country, which has been adopted by the Upper Middle Class suburban Republican coterie as a class marker -- you have always say Nice Things about all women and minorities, always, and cannot note any differences, unless it is to heap praise upon them.

Question: Can I question former MSNBC commentator Toure's objectivity, or is that now racist too, per our uniparty We Went to College, See? chattering classes?

Observation:

Yes, I imagine so. The brief period when Trump became marginally competitive with Hillary was probably a one-week one-off.

Trump will almost certainly lose, and badly, so I guess there's no need to defend every stupid thing that comes vomiting out of his mouth.

That said, I'm defending this because I actually believe it, not because I think I need to help Trump (who is almost certainly beyond helping).

You simply cannot defend a society in which it is so routine that it is not even remarked upon that Jake Tapper portentously declares "The jury that acquitted the police officer was white" and then turn around and scream if someone says, "Hey, you know what? Maybe Hispanics have some political biases based on their experiences and shared political interests, too."

If you can say it about a white person, you can say it about a minority.

Period.

I won't countenance any other claim, and I shouldn't fucking have to.

BTW, I don't consider this an optimal situation. Far from it. But this is the situation. And if people are going to ask me to check my privilege, then I reserve the privilege of turning right around and asking them to check their own.

Yes and it is inarguable which ideology has brought us to this pass, and continues to basically make the case for Women's Supremacy and various Racial Supremacy ideologies and yet turns around and acts like racial sugar wouldn't melt in their mouths.
