Bill Clinton Defends His Record to Black Lives Matter
I don't think this is an especially tough rebuttal to Black Lives Matter as Black Lives Matter. He's not really criticizing them, their naked racial supremacism, or their tactics of disrupting citizens' lives -- their commutes to work, their lunches -- and bullying.
Still, to even rebut them and dispute their outlandish claims is a major event. Everyone treats these radicals as if they have Absolute Moral Authority and that the only possible response to their constant, violence-tinged disruptions is to say, "Yes of course you're right -- you are black, and I am white. Therefore everything you say is good and wise, and yes, you can shout in my face for ten minutes while I try to have a moment's peace eating this sandwich away from my office."
So I suppose to challenge their Absolute Moral Authority is a something of a deep wound, chopping at their sine qua non. Without their ability to cow people and shut them up while yelling nonsense -- what are they? Just another bunch of yelley-faces in a sea of yelley-faces.
Still, all I really see here is Bill Clinton demonstrating his superior politicking skills. He makes a good case for Hillary -- for Black Lives Matter as well as everyone else.
Eh. You tell me. I don't know. Everyone seems excited about this; maybe they're right and I'm wrong.
