Pet Advice Question
227 I can never get to this thread until much later, but I'm asking for some moron help. I am looking for a Scottish Deerhound puppy. This will be my last dog and when I lost my 17 and 14 year old miniature dachshunds I want to go back to the large breeds.

This is a good question regarding a breed that isn't very common. But, the advice given would be the same for any other breed. You can contact the AKC to see if they have AKC approved breeders. Is there an AKC dog show close to you? If so, go to the show and talk to the breeders. The dog show world is very political at times. But all of the breeders love to talk about their dogs and their specific breed. Often they can inform you of upcoming puppy liters. Is there a Natioanl Club and/or local club for the breed you are looking for? In this situation, yes. There is The Scottish Deerhound Club of America. Lurker Steve Skubinna shared a photo of his shelter rescue pooch named Lilinoe or Lilli for short. He adopted her this past October. Being on the couch is not an issue apparently.

ABQ 767 thought so highly of his wife and 4 "kids" that he shared a photo of them. Meet ABQ, his wife, and the kids, Rocky, Gizmo, Chino & Reggie. Nice looking family.

Traye has 2 buddies named Patrick Henry & Freedom.

There wasn't much information provided by William Hodor other than that lucky pooch is Hodor the Hound.

Argent wanted us to know her cat, Lucy, is a liberal. All it does is demand to be fed and given attention.

Meet Dozer a 142# Bullmastiff owned by Fly. Dozer was an AKC champ by age 1. He now has a rough life of being a stud dog.

Meet Katie, The Mutt & Jasper, The Boston Terrier. These little critters live in the Joncelli household.

Sabrina Chase was kind enough to send in this photo of Ronin & Opal. Unfortunately Ronin is no longer with Sabrina. She described him as a Moron with oafish charm.

Lurker Butch, shared this photo of Oblio with us. Butch didn't say much about his pet except it is an awesome one.

Last, but definitely not least is this poorly mistreated pooch by the name of Jack owned by Goatexchange. Jack's punishment at times is to be confined to the furniture with a blanket no less.
