Many, including myself, are beginning to see signs of what we predicted some time ago: That we've reached near peak value for "racism" and the stock is starting to decline. One such clue was listening to the crew of The Five, including the delightful Ms. Perino, becoming absolutely punch-drunk, tossing "isms" at each other this past Thursday.
It was beautiful. I wish I had a clip of it to share with you.
Then, there are the Masters of the Universe: Matt and Trey. It has been written that this is the best-ever season of South Park and, although I'm not sure I agree, I can't disagree either. It's as if something has snapped, and they are on a mission. They are out for PC blood and aren't bothering to sharpen the knife beforehand.
Here's an example of what's going on this season. Meet PC University:
Jason Whitlock has written a terrific piece at J. School re the absurdity of what's taking place at the University of Missouri, stating "The absurdity of the past week at Mizzou couldn't be duplicated on South Park."
"Cry Wolfe!" is how this entire episode should be remembered. Liberal academics talked black kids into crying wolf over racially tinged rude behavior so an unpopular president would be unseated.
Adult professors who should be educating kids on the continuing damage of institutional racism, instead built a human shield around a tent city set up to host the starvation of an N-word fighter disguised as a freedom fighter.
A redneck showing his ass with verbal garbage while driving a truck isn't racism. It's a redneck showing his ass. Racism is a system of exploitation rooted in race. The NCAA amateurism charade is a solid example.
Read the full thing here and, while you're there, check out some of his other bits and pieces as well. If you're on Twitter, maybe give the guy a follow.
And, on the heels of that Whitlock piece, comes this. I swear, this is not a parody account, and neither are all the others writing the same thing.
So, clearly, Whitlock's statement re Matt and Trey not being able to capture it is less a take on their abilities, and more a statement of Who would ever fukcing believe it?!
And, just when you think it can't get any sillier, Amherst gets in on the action with #AmherstUprising. Luckily for us, however, they chose for their Twitter address "@UprisingAmherst" which allowed for some enterprising tweep to totally make off with the more logical address: @AmherstUprising.
I don't know who it is, but there are only a few folks on Twitter clever enough to have done this and, in the process, fool the likes of Bill Kristol and Twitchy. Ace, Iowahawk, Greg Gutfeld, maybe one of the Brits, but they aren't claiming credit just yet.
A toast to you, whomever you may be.
And because tonight is my ONT I am taking a stand and defying Ace on his own home turf. He may not be a fan, but many of us are.
"Worst bands". Pfft.
Tonight's ONT brought to you by a photo that I can't imagine will ever cease to make me smile.
Just precious.
