Theory: Jar Jar Binks Was Actually Supposed to Be an Evil Sith Lord Jedi Master In the Star Wars Prequels, And Is Hinted As Such In the First Film

But, the theory goes, the audience reacted so poorly to Binks that Lucas chickened out and avoided having him fulfill his originally-intended role as Emperor Palpatine's Padawan and secret mole within the... What? It's not the Rebellion. Whatever, the people in the prequels who are supposed to be good.
