After Distancing Himself From Ahmad The Inventor, Obama Has Low-Key Meeting With Alleged Science Prodigy
White House spokesman Josh Earnest had tried to distance the president from Ahmad the Repackager of Everyday Electronics Into Scarier Forms, by saying he didn't know if the president would have the time to actually meet with the Timer Tyke.
Turns out, he did have a little time, and spoke "briefly" to America's Littlest Community Agitator.
Ahmad, who increasingly strikes me as a dolt, thinks that had he been white, the world would have showered awards on him for taking an electronic alarm clock out of its well-designed packaging and placing it into poorly-designed packaging.
BG: "Do you think if you were a caucasian, non-Muslim you would've received the same treatment? Because law enforcement seems to say "yes'. Do you agree with them?"
AM: "I don't know."
BG: "You don't know?"
AM:"I don’t agree with them because I’m pretty sure if I was a caucasian male I wouldn’t have got arrested, because it’s not right, because you know… Pretty sure I would've been awarded the smartest kid in class if I was a caucasian male."
Yes, a lot of caucasian males are given the "smartest kid in the classs" award for stupid shit.
Incidentally, notice the Social Justice Warrior terminology "caucasian male." Well, he is a male, so why mention this?
Sounds like he's being coached on the finer points of intersectionality.
Intersectionality (or intersectionalism) is the study of intersections between forms or systems of oppression, domination or discrimination. An example is black feminism, which argues that the experience of being a black woman cannot be understood in terms of being black, and of being a woman, considered independently, but must include the interactions, which frequently reinforce each other.
This feminist sociological theory was first named by Kimberle Crenshaw in 1989, though the concept can be traced back to the 19th century.[2][3] The theory suggests that--and seeks to examine how--various biological, social and cultural categories such as gender, race, class, ability, sexual orientation, religion, caste, and other axes of identity interact on multiple and often simultaneous levels, contributing to systemic injustice and social inequality. Intersectionality holds that the classical conceptualizations of oppression within society, such as racism, sexism, biphobia, homophobia, transphobia, and belief-based bigotry, do not act independently of one another. Instead, these forms of oppression interrelate, creating a system of oppression that reflects the "intersection" of multiple forms of discrimination.
A standard textbook example of intersectionality theory is "the view that women experience oppression in varying configurations and in varying degrees of intensity". A secondary textbook definition approaches intersection theory a bit more broadly as "the interplay of race, class, and gender, often resulting in multiple dimensions of disadvantage". Cultural patterns of oppression are not only interrelated, but are bound together and influenced by the intersectional systems of society. Examples of this include race, gender, sexuality, class, ability, and ethnicity.
Hey look, he took standard Social Justice Warrior cant out of wikipedia and repackaged it in the form of Islamic Grievance. What a genius.
Oh, and "America's Hero," as the Daily Beast calls him non-ironically, will reportedly be moving to Qatar, where folks are thought to have a greater appreciation of repurposing electronic timing devices.
According to ABC-affiliated WFAA, Ahmed Mohamed is going to leave Irving, Texas, and move to Qatar -- but not before he picks up his clock from the local police department.
