Your Occasional Weekend Gaming Thread is back this week. I'll probably do this every other week, just because I have a shitty job and generally work 7 Days a week.

2DS Price Drop. There's a great backlog of games you can play on that thing. $100 I Totally Reccomend it. You'll probably want to upgrade to a 3DS after you get into the eco-system, so just know that going in. Another 100 gets you a "New" 3DS. But the 2DS is great if you have small kids.

Two Weeks ago I had talked about how Binding of Issac:Rebirth had become my go to lunch game. It still is. I know many of ya'll are old school gamers and would probably enjoy this podcast about the history of Rogue-Likes. Rogue-Likes can be super maddening. I swear that Every time I feel like I'm having a good run in Binding of Issac the Game purposely starts fucking with me causing me to die in a fire.

The first part is interesting because of the changes to "FozzieSov". All Positive from my end. The Second part. Wow. This isn't going to even be a USTZ deployment, so I'm probably not going to even go. Especially since Capswarm is staying up North. If they can pull it off and nuke half a Trillion Isk worth of shit? Insane. All for it. Go Go EG and Allies!

The Propaganda War has already Started.

Shit I should probably link a map. CFC/Imperium Space is up in the North from I Whip My Slaves Back and Forth, Over to Get off my Lawn. CVA/Proviblock is down in the south Severance and CVA in The Region of Providence.

That Region has as many Stations as Deklein. Under Dominion Sov, Even if you won all the timers you are talking a weeks worth of grind for every Station System, Not So under "FozzieSov". So even though an entire TimeZone and all the caps and most of the Supers are staying up in the North, It might not matter. We'll see.

I started thinking back to all the Wars that I've been involved with in Eve. The first one was back in 2011. Back then I was in an Alliance called Gentleman's Agreement (Most of them are in The Bastion now) and we lived in Cloud Ring. We all got a message to be up in VFK (Goonswarm's old Capital) with Alpha Fleet Ships (Shield Maelstroms, Scimis and Scorpions(bads)). Speech by The Mittani at a certain time and then we'd find out what was up. Turned out it was the Invasion of Branch. We were taking an untested Coalition on it's first offensive War. Super Exciting. I was All In on that!

Branch was then held by a Russian Alliance named White Noise. Turned out that they were a husk of their former selves and they quickly lost all their space. We ground most of that Region in Battleships (I swear it was fitted. It's just an old ass API link Because The Russians/NC./PL had Super Capital superiority. We had bodies and Subcap Superiority. That was the era of Blap Titans. It was even worked out How many Maelstrom-Hours of grind that Region Was. I'd Link it, but RIP Kugu. That was a neat war for me because I was working 3rd Shift. So I was active from 1200-1600 Eve/UTC. You generally Fight Russians Before and after Downtime (which is 1100 iirc)

Here's an Actual Eve Fleet Running an Alpha Fleet. I was Probably on this fleet. DBRB was running all the early morning fleets. You know the Eve Interface has actually come a long way in 3 years. It's not as Spreadsheety in Space as it was then.

I like that Eve is Heating up again. I went out on a Save a Tackled Super op the other day that turned into a lets grind these 8 POS's op. Just felt good being out in Space cap chaining and doing work. I'm ready to get back into it.

They had some big Role Play Event in Eve. I don't know or really care. The one thing that I think that it's good for is that this is probably one of the few times High Sec players will see Supers and Titans. Let alone an actual Titan Wreck.

RIP Titan. Remember when I talked about Alpha Fleet? Alpha Fleet is a concept where everyone shoots at once and the Instant damage is enough to kill the target. No Chance of Repairs or "Healing". The Drifters Alpha'd a Titan. I'm amused by this because for years I've always been told you can't Alpha a Titan. It's just not happening. At least not on the Subcap Level. Well :devhacks: yo!

This is what "Alpha'ing" a Titan Actually looks like. They way over Doomsdayed that thing because of Tidi Probably could have Nuked SpaceRangerJoe's Erebus as well. Lag! Grr Lag!

I talked Dota 2 the other week. Well Blizzard's MOBA is Out and you can play that. Dan Is a Terrible person and should die in a car fire.
