Baseball Food: A Few Links [Slapweasel]
Hello, Slapweasel here. Perusing various baseball websites, I found an article about interesting Minor League ballpark food. Seeing as we are getting into Summer and the All Star Break approaches, I've found that Minor League parks are inexpensive places to stretch-out on a Summer evening.
-They also have less expensive treats than the Major League ballparks.
Here is an article that shows-off some of the fare available at parks around the country:
Hot Dogs and Beyond: How the food revolution in America has infiltrated minor league baseball.
There are some excellent choices in there for either a trip to the ballpark or ideas that can be made at home.
Here's another short article from the History Channel that, well, talks about the history of what we consider "everyday" ballpark food:The History of Ballpark Food With baseball season back in full swing, we take a look at classic ballpark snacks like hot dogs, peanuts and Cracker Jack.
If the expensive Major Leagues are where it's at for you this Summer, then these are the what you should not be missing at your local MLB park: Expert advice on the best baseball stadium food
Hopefully, these will inspire either a trip to the park or a menu idea. I would be remiss if I didn't offer you a beer: Brewery set to open at DBAP Beer and baseball go hand-in-hand, and as temperatures climb during the spring, fans of the Durham Bulls will be able to enjoy a cold one in a brand new way at Durham.
And.....Open Thread (as long as it's baseball! [CBD])
