The speed of the Amtrak train that crashed and killed at least eight people surged from 70mph to 106mph just seconds before it derailed, it has been revealed.

Well, someone increased the train's speed from 70 mph to 107 mph, just in front of a deadly sharp curve.

It's not as if we've never seen someone deliberately crash a passenger vehicle. It just happened over France.

And If This All Wasn't Suspcious Enough Already... Weird thing -- the Positive Train Control was installed and was active -- on the other side of the curve.

That is, had this engineer been going north to south, he could not have derailed the train, as this PCT would have prevented him. (Assuming the PCT couldn't be disabled by a saboteur -- which I actually don't assume.)

If I understand this right, the only direction one could derail the train due to "human error" was in the south to north direction.
